Tang Anzhi didn't make the elevator stop and open on every floor because it would waste her time.
She's not foolish enough to do that; she just tinkered with the elevator a bit, and for a hacker as skilled as her, it was the simplest of tasks.
She did this to avoid some trouble. The man watching her was definitely out to cause her some, so she just wanted to confuse the surveillance a bit. In the monitoring dispatch room, a man's puzzled voice sounded.
"Huh, why is the elevator's feed gone? Is the surveillance broken?"
She quickly tweaked things, only to find the feed still snowed out.
She frowned slightly and said to the person next to her, "Jack, go check out that elevator."
If the surveillance was truly broken, they'd have to fix it, but if it wasn't... that wouldn't be good.
The man named Jack got up immediately, ready to check, when the surveillance suddenly cleared up.
The feed was very clear again, so he said, "It must have just been a glitch."
