Taozhi was indeed very old by now, and the veterinarians at the pet store all said they'd taken great care of her, as most cats don't live this long.
Shen Wenzhou carried Taozhi into the living room and went first to check her cat bowl, finding that a lot of the cat food remained uneaten.
He couldn't help but frown and, bending down, he spoke softly and tenderly to Taozhi in his arms, "Why have you eaten so little?"
Of course, Taozhi couldn't speak; she just rubbed her head against Shen Wenzhou's neck.
Since Taozhi couldn't chew anymore, the cat food had been soaked until soft. This bowl must have been sitting out all afternoon. Shen Wenzhou didn't let her continue eating it but instead replaced it with fresh cat food.
"Zhouzhou, are you done? It's time for dinner," Ye Wanwan's voice suddenly called out.
"All done, I'll be right there," Shen Wenzhou responded before washing his hands and heading to the dining room.
