The source of all the rumors was naturally Chi Wuyao. She used this scheme to portray Yun Wuji, a man who had suddenly appeared out of nowhere, as a hero who sought only to save the Primal Chaos, while casting the Eternal Heaven God Realm and the Dragon God Realm as selfish and self-serving.
This would further divide people's opinions and weaken the opposition, and with the looming threat of the Heaven Smiting Devil Emperor and her clansmen, their resistance would become even weaker, as everyone would be too busy panicking over this danger to bother opposing Yun Wuji.
Of course, this would spark widespread panic and chaos across the God Realm, but that was precisely Chi Wuyao's goal. She wanted everyone so fragmented and terrified that she and Yun Wuji could gradually, at their own pace, take control over them all.
Yun Wuji, of course, paid little attention to the opinions of the people from the Middle-Rank and Low-Rank Star Realms; after all, they were simply too weak. Since it was Chi Wuyao who wanted to carry out this plan, he had no reason to interfere.
After all, aside from the Upper-Rank Star Realms, no one else could pose any real threat to him. However, since the Realm Kings of the Upper-Rank Star Realms were all at the Divine Master Realm, they knew exactly how vast the gap between them and Yun Wuji was. They understood just how terrifying he truly was, making them even less likely to attempt any resistance.
Another month passed. Yun Wuji spent most of it in the Ten Directions Deep Sea Realm, either dueling with Cang Shuhe, having sex with Qianye Ying'er and Hei Xiaolian, or teasing Yan Wu.
She had been leading the Yama Devils in the Southern Divine Region, keeping an eye on Cang Shitian and suppressing any resistance from the region's so-called 'brave' citizens.
...
Snow Song Realm, Ice Phoenix 36th Palace.
"Stop pacing around, you are making me dizzy!" Outside the room, Jasmine stomped her feet and shouted at the man pacing back and forth.
Xia Qingyue, Luo Guxie, Mu Xuanyin, Mu Bingyun, Chi Wuyao, and the others stared at Yun Wuji, who wore an anxious expression. It was the first time they had seen him like this.
"I know, but I can't help it," Yun Wuji said, stopping as he ran a hand through his hair. "What if something happens to Yuechan? Are you sure that midwife knows what she is doing?"
"Of course, she is over 20,000 years old. She has delivered more babies than you have ever seen in your life. She even delivered my brother, me, and my sister," Jasmine let out a tired sigh. He had asked her this question countless times by now. Yun Wuji was always the type who would not flinch even if the sky collapsed, but this time, he was so anxious, even panicked. She could not blame him. After all, Chu Yuechan was about to give birth.
"Yuechan is so stubborn. Why didn't she let me be the one to do it?" Yun Wuji let out a tired sigh. He had just returned from the Southern Divine Region to the Snow Song Realm when Chu Yuechan suddenly went into labor, and the timing was just right.
He had wanted to be the one to help her deliver the child. He was a miracle doctor, possessing the Divine Miracle of Life. Even if a complication arose, he could handle it effortlessly.
But to his exasperation, Chu Yuechan refused. She would not let him see her in that state, claiming she did not want to show that side of herself, which to him was frankly ridiculous.
She even forbade him from using his senses to monitor the room!
"Don't worry, little darling, everything is going to be alright. You are just a few steps away from her, and if anything were to happen, you can always rush to help," Chi Wuyao said, hugging him from behind. She rested the back of his head against her large, soft breasts, lowering her head, and pressed her thick, delicate lips to his forehead. "You are going to be the Emperor of the Primal Chaos. You need to have more composure."
"I know, I know," Yun Wuji said, closing his eyes and trying to calm himself, though he spectacularly failed. This was his first child, and he did not want anything to happen to them or to Chu Yuechan.
Even he was surprised by how anxious he felt. Still, as he rested his head on Chi Wuyao's chest and she massaged his head, softly whispering in his ear, he began to calm down a little.
"Tsk! It should have been me, not her!" Qianye Ying'er, Luo Guxie, and Jasmine all said at the same time. They glared at each other for a moment before looking away.
Time passed slowly. Over an hour later, the door suddenly opened, and a young woman appeared. It was Chu Yueli. "Wuji, you..."
"Wah! Waaah!"
Before she could finish speaking, Yun Wuji's figure blurred, and he was already in the room. Inside, he saw Chu Yuechan lying on the bed.
Contrary to what he had expected, her hair was not disheveled, nor was she sweating. Her clothes were immaculate, and she did not look like someone who had just gone through labor. It seemed she had first arranged her appearance before calling him in.
In her hands, she held a small baby wrapped in silk.
"Congratulations, it's a girl," Yun Wuji heard, only then noticing the old woman in the room. She was the midwife that Jasmine had brought.
Silently, Yun Wuji picked the baby from Chu Yuechan's arms, his movements infinitely gentle and cautious. He stared at the girl, who met his gaze with wide, pure black eyes. She extended her tiny pink hands toward him as if reaching for him.
"My daughter… this is my daughter?" Yun Wuji touched her face with his index finger, and as he did, the baby held his finger with both tiny hands.
"Hmm, she is our daughter," Chu Yuechan said with a smile.
"Congratulations, Wuji, you are a father now," the other women said as they entered the room, all wearing wide smiles. Even the usually jealous Qianye Ying'er had a faint smile on her face.
"Hmm," Yun Wuji hummed softly, staring at his daughter. As he did, he suddenly drifted into a daze, recalling memories from over two decades ago.
...
"Congratulations! It's a boy."
He still remembered the day he first saw the light of this world. He had thought he would start a new life with a new family.
"What about the mother?"
"She's dead."
But in the next moment, he realized he no longer had one. Even now, he still did not know what his mother looked like.
...
"Little one, your father isn't dead, and your mother is still alive. Daddy will make sure you have a happy and fulfilling life. You'll grow up to be the second best after me." Before he knew it, a single tear slid down his cheek.
"Eh?" He blinked in confusion. Why was he crying? Did he miss his parents? But he had never felt any familial bond toward them; he had literally never seen them in his life. Besides, he already had a family in his past life. So why the fuck was he getting emotional right now?!
"Gu, gu, ba, ba," the baby suddenly stretched out her tiny hand, letting out cute babbling sounds, as if reacting to his tear.
A light breeze of invisible wind passed, wiping away the tear. Yun Wuji held her hand, and Light Profound Energy shone around it, enveloping the girl completely and bathing her in a soothing, calming aura. In just a few seconds, the baby's eyes closed, and she fell asleep.
"Did you think of a name for her?" Yun Wuji asked, holding the girl. He usually had a good sense for names, but for some reason, he was afraid of giving his daughter a bad one.
"Yes," Chu Yuechan replied, rising from the bed to stand beside him. It seemed she had recovered with remarkable speed, a testament to the midwife's twenty thousand years of experience, which had clearly not gone to waste. Leaning forward, she gazed intently at the sleeping girl and whispered, "Wuxin."
"Let's call her Yun Wuxin."
"Wuxin?" Yun Wuji blinked. Wasn't that a bit too much of a coincidence? Why was her name the same as Yun Che's daughter?!
He decided not to overthink it. Perhaps Chu Yuechan had always wanted to call her daughter that, whether now or in the novel.
Well, at least he wouldn't be like Yun Che, an incompetent father who completely missed his daughter's growth.
Speaking of which, in the novel, Yun Xi was over ninety years old while Yun Che was around forty. How would he even feel upon discovering that his daughter was literally older than him?
"Hmm?" While daydreaming, Yun Wuji's eyes suddenly widened as if he had seen something shocking. Just moments ago, he had inspected Yun Wuxin's body, and to his astonishment, he discovered that her profound veins were already complete and fully mature!
For a normal person, it would take twelve to thirteen years for their profound veins to fully mature, and only then would it be advised for them to begin cultivation. There were some medicines and elixirs that could accelerate the process, but the general consensus was that the optimal age to start cultivation was thirteen.
The only exceptions were the King Realms, where a divine power could react to young children, like Yan Wu, whose divine power had reacted to her when she was nine.
However, what people did not know was that there was another exception. Yun Wuji had been born with fully mature profound veins, and now another exception had appeared.
Yun Wuji was overjoyed. He quickly inspected her profound veins, but he soon felt slightly disappointed. Yun Wuxin's profound veins had only fifty-four entrances.
"Well, it doesn't matter. My daughter's genius is still unparalleled," Yun Wuji said with a smile, shaking his head. Even if his daughter did not inherit his frightening genius, she was undoubtedly far more talented than others, having inherited a portion of his own talent.
"Old lady, you are indeed quite capable," Yun Wuji said in a good mood, turning to the midwife. He took a level-up pill and tossed it to her. "Please accept this as a token of my gratitude."
"I am just doing my work, my lord," the old woman said as she caught the bottle and bowed. She did not know what kind of pill it was, but she was certain it had to be something extremely valuable.
...
A few weeks later, all the Upper-Rank's Realm Kings and their people from across the God Realm traveled to the Eastern Divine Region, bringing with them all kinds of gifts and presents.
Every corner of the God Realm was filled with a festive atmosphere.
Today was the day of the coronation of the one and only true Emperor of the Primal Chaos.
