Chapter 382 - 381: My Genius Is Frightening

Dreamweaver Kingdom of God, the Empress Palace.

As the most influential and most powerful woman in the entire Dreamweaver Kingdom of God, Meng Xuanjue was naturally an outstanding figure in both appearance and talent.

Through the virtue of her remarkable talent and the abundant resources she enjoyed, she had reached the 9th level of the Divine Extinction Realm.

Sitting on her bed with a furrowed brow, Meng Xuanjue glared at Meng Jianzhou. "You said he turned down our recruitment offer? Useless waste! You and Meng Xuanji are both trash! It must be your worthless arrogance that made him refuse."

Meng Jianzhou lowered his head, not daring to speak. He feared his mother more than anything, even more than his father.

The Empress glanced at her son, and a flash of disgust crossed her eyes. "Why did you awaken only sixty percent of your Divine Essence instead of eighty? Why must I have a failure of a son like you?!"

If he had been born mediocre like his brother Meng Jianxi, Meng Xuanjue would never have let her hopes rise only to be crushed in disappointment.

Meng Jianzhou trembled yet said nothing. He stood silently, enduring her insults, until he heard her cold words. "Get out. I do not want to see your disappointing face anymore!"

"Yes... Mother!" He lowered his head, turned around, and left the room.

Lying on her back on the bed, Meng Xuanjue stared at the ceiling with a frown, her eyes colder than a frost demon. She did not take the matter of Yun Wuji to heart. From the beginning, she had little expectation that he would accept their offer.

The man was bold and rebellious enough to fight the Pure Land's Knight Commanders, clearly an unruly figure with immense pride. The possibility of him ever working under someone else was slim.

Even if he were to accept, the assistance he could provide her would not amount to much, unless she managed to convince him to assassinate that slut.

"This damned headache!" The moment she closed her eyes, the scene of being trampled by that lowly concubine while holding her newborn flashed in her mind, followed by a splitting pain in her head.

Meng Xuanjue rose to her feet, took out a red pill, and swallowed it. A short while later, the pain eased somewhat. Because of her paranoia and her obsessive grip on status, she had recently begun suffering from severe headaches that struck her periodically.

Taking another red pill, Meng Xuanjue walked to the large mirror hanging on the wall. She had tried to improve herself to appeal to her husband, Meng Kongchan, but he was too obsessed with having a real successor and far too infatuated with that concubine to even notice her.

Staring at her reflection in the mirror, Meng Xuanjue touched her face. "Why does he not care about me?"

Her waist was slender as a willow branch swaying in the breeze, her hips full like a ripe peach hidden beneath silk. The swell of her chest rose proudly, pressing against her robe as if it could not contain the curves within. Her skin gleamed like white jade warmed by the sun, smooth and flawless. Her lips, like rose petals, were moist, and a single smile from them could topple kingdoms. Her eyes, long and narrow like a fox's, glimmered with a charm that ensnared the soul, and every movement of her body carried the subtle fragrance of seduction.

"Just when I finally no longer had to worry about that slut Hua Qingying, another one appears!" Meng Xuanjue's hands roamed, fondling her breasts, sliding to her narrow waist, and finally gripping her full, peachy butt. "I am obviously more beautiful than that lowly concubine... Why? Why?!"

...

Deep within the Endless Fog, the Abyssal Dust was so dense that even those at the peak of the Divine Extinction Realm would be lost. In this deadly place, where no sane person would dare to step, dense red dots swirled around a single spot.

Hundreds upon thousands of beasts stood in a perfect circle around Yun Wuji, like obedient guards. The dense Abyssal Fog gathered around him, swirling toward him like a magnet. Yet each time the Abyssal Dust touched his body, it vanished as if it had never existed, devoured by some unseen force.

Even more Abyssal Dust gathered around him, an immense quantity, enough to fill the entire Qilin Abyssal Realm if it were placed there. However, even after all that dust was devoured, the fog around him had not thinned a bit, a testament to just how deadly and incredibly dense the Abyssal Dust truly was.

After all, ninety-nine percent of the Abyss was made of Endless Fog, which in turn was entirely composed of Abyssal Dust.

Hours passed quietly. Sweat began to drip from Yun Wuji's face, yet his expression remained completely calm. He continued to devour the Abyssal Dust, transforming it into the aura of Nothingness.

Over the past half year, Yun Wuji had been refining his techniques. He had progressed from struggling to devour even a small amount of Abyssal Dust and turn it into the aura of Nothingness, to now handling massive quantities with ease. At first, he had to place the Abyssal Dust inside the world of his Profound Veins before he could process it, but now it had become as natural as breathing.

More time passed, and hours dragged on. His body began trembling slightly, and his brows furrowed as the pressure and pain multiplied a hundredfold. Still, he held on; he was close, very close. Li Suo and Hei Xiaolian watched him from inside the Sky Poison Pearl, their expressions filled with worry.

At the same time, the world inside his Profound Veins was undergoing a change. The once bright starry sky had grown dim, and the entire world was shrouded in a hazy, transparent grey membrane. After devouring an uncountable amount of Abyssal Dust, the aura of Nothingness had become so abundant that it now enveloped his entire Profound Veins' world.

More and more Abyssal Dust continued to be converted into the aura of Nothingness. Suddenly, after reaching a certain threshold, a soundless explosion erupted inside the world. The entire world darkened, shrinking at an incredible pace, until in an instant it became an infinitely small dot, before erupting once again in a second soundless explosion.

The world expanded to a far greater scale than before. The starry sky returned, but the world had undergone a profound change. The large stars that once represented the seven elements were nowhere to be seen, along with the gigantic spinning vortexes.

In their place arose multiple small planets, each with a complete set of laws and robust elements. The dense aura of elements and profound energy filled not only these new planets but also the entire world of his Profound Veins.

"I did it, I fucking did it!" Opening his eyes, Yun Wuji stood up and shouted with excitement. "My genius is truly frightening!"

"Shit! Wuji! You really did it!" Hei Xiaolian was overwhelmed with excitement. She appeared and ran to him, hugging him tightly and pressing his face against her large chest. She had never seen Yun Wuji struggle so hard to achieve something before, and she had feared he might fail.

"Of course I did!" Yun Wuji hugged her back. He looked up from the two mounds enveloping his face and leaned closer, pressing his lips to hers.

Unlike Yun Che, Yun Wuji did not possess the Sacred Body of Nothingness, which would have allowed him to passively control the energies of Extinction and, over time, even the power of Nothingness. To make matters more difficult, he did not have the complete World-Defying Heaven Manual, so he had to improvise and discover a way on his own.

Yun Wuji was not worried. After all, he possessed something even better than the Sacred Body of Nothingness, his Unfettered Profound Veins, and his terrifying genius. With his genius, he devised a method to convert the Abyssal Dust into the aura of Nothingness, granting his Profound Veins the same power that the Sacred Body of Nothingness would provide.

The Sacred Body of Nothingness was entirely formed from the power of Nothingness, so this idea was not completely impossible. Additionally, his Profound Veins were on a higher level than the Sacred Body of Nothingness; they simply lacked its special ability.

He only needed to add that feature, so Yun Wuji did what any web developer would do and turned the original bug, the Abyssal Dust, into a feature.

When he began, even though he had a high chance of fifty percent to succeed, he still felt some worry that he might fail. Of course, even if he did fail, he could always try again later.

Yun Wuji and Hei Xiaolian's lips parted as they stared at each other with lustful eyes, yet he remained rational. He did not push her down and start screwing her immediately. Instead, he walked over to one of the beasts closest to him and placed his hand on its head.

The moment he did, the beast began to shiver and its body started to decompose, yet it did not struggle. Abyssal beasts do not feel pain or fear, so even as it was slowly destroyed, it did nothing.

An hour and a half later, when Yun Wuji retracted his hand, the beast, which had been at the 8th level of the Divine Extinction Realm, had turned into a pile of dust.

"Did you just devour its cultivation?" Hei Xiaolian walked over, staring at the spot where the beast had once been, asking in astonishment.
