Yun Wuji was always a man who cared about familial relationships, as could be seen in how he looked after the family of his disciple, Yun Che, in the past.
Although he had never met Hua Fuchen before, he decided to spare Dian Rahu and Meng Kongchan to avoid unnecessary problems.
Although Hua Qingying might not think much of this matter, it would inevitably cause some discord between her and her brother if it became known. To prevent this unnecessary drama, he decided it was better not to kill this insignificant man in the first place.
"This is the first time I am trying this." Yun Wuji's finger landed on Dian Rahu's forehead, and his soul poured into the broken man's soul sea.
As soon as Yun Wuji's soul energy entered, Dian Rahu's soul instinctively defended itself, repelling the intrusion. However, the moment his soul reacted, a ball of silvery-white light flashed from deep within Yun Wuji's eyes.
In the next instant, Dian Rahu's soul defense was abruptly and completely suppressed, pushed aside with overwhelming force.
Yun Wuji lifted his other hand and summoned Abyssal Dust from his world of profound veins. A dark ball of abyssal dust swiftly condensed between his fingers.
The reason Yun Wuji could control the Abyssal Beasts was that their cores were filled with an extremely large amount of Abyssal Dust. To control Abyssal Ghosts, he needed to manipulate the Abyssal Dust within their souls.
What he was doing now was inserting Abyssal Dust into Dian Rahu's soul, transforming him into an Abyssal Knight.
In the novel, Yun Che liked to use this trick and had once controlled a Divine Limit Realm Knight Commander with it.
This was the first time Yun Wuji was using it, since he had never really needed to control anyone before.
The Abyssal Dust condensed into a thin black beam.
The black beam was about one-sixth of a meter long and darker than even the deepest black. It was formed from an unimaginable amount of Abyssal Dust, condensed into a single line. Its density and concentration were beyond anything anyone could have imagined.
Once finished, Yun Wuji flipped his palm and fired the single beam into Dian Rahu's forehead. It pierced straight into his soul sea.
Thud!
As the final ray of black light vanished into his forehead, Dian Rahu's eyes went white, and he lost consciousness. His kneeling body tilted to the side and collapsed to the ground.
From now on, this man, once known as the strongest outside the Pure Land, had been reduced to Yun Wuji's servant. Normally, he would act as he usually did, but whenever Yun Wuji mobilized the Abyssal Dust in his soul sea, he would transform into his Abyssal Ghost.
Yun Wuji wasn't particularly interested in having him as a servant, so aside from ordering him not to seek death by coming after him and to forget everything that had happened, he did nothing else.
"Now, the only one left is Hua Fuchen. He should consider himself lucky to have a good sister." Directing his senses to the Divine Powers in his world of profound veins, Yun Wuji muttered.
"I should ask Yun Wuying how she created them someday." Leaving the unconscious man behind, Yun Wuji turned and walked away. The space around him rippled before he teleported.
After his relationship with Yun Wuying deepened, she told him that what she had first said about the history of the Abyss was not entirely correct.
It was true that she was the one who kept the Abyssal Dust away from the Land of the Living and controlled the Abyssal Beasts and Abyssal Ghosts to remain in the Endless Fog. The reason she did this wasn't out of kindness, but because she had struck a deal with Mo Su, exchanging her assistance for help in leaving the Abyss.
She helped him repair the two Devil Artifacts that had been damaged by the Heaven Punishing Ancestral Sword, and she was also the one who had created the Divine Inheritances used by the Divine Kingdoms.
Yun Wuying had some goodwill toward Yun Wuji when they first met. His strength and ability to control the Abyssal Dust made her feel an inexplicable closeness to him, but she didn't plan to tell him everything all at once. She didn't trust him to that level yet. It was only after they grew closer that she revealed everything.
She was also angry at Mo Su for breaking his promise. The man had tried to destroy the Abyss instead of keeping his word.
...
While Yun Wuji was away, two figures arrived at the Eternal Light Divine Kingdom.
"Is this where that person lives?" Hua Caili asked in wonder, her eyes drawn to the sea of flowers before her. Did that man have the habit of cultivating flowers? If that was the case, perhaps he wasn't as bad as she had thought.
"This is his place, but he doesn't live here," Hua Qingying answered, walking along the narrow path through the sea of flowers. Using her senses earlier, she hadn't detected Yun Wuji's main body, so she decided to visit Ling Xian first while waiting for him to return.
"Hmm?" Hua Caili followed behind her aunt, feeling confused. If it wasn't that hateful man, then who was her aunt looking for? Along the way, she began to feel an odd sense of familiarity with the scene around her. Although the two places were completely different, for some reason, this place reminded her of the High Priest Ling Xian back in the Pure Land.
"Little Caili, you're here." As they neared the wooden house, Su Shang walked out.
"Aunt Shang! What are you doing here?!" Hua Caili ran to her, her face a mix of astonishment and joy. She had never heard of Su Shang leaving the Pure Land, so she was completely taken aback to see her here.
"Come in, Master is waiting for you." Su Shang smiled at her and stepped aside, giving Hua Qingying a nod.
Hua Qingying returned the nod before stepping inside.
"Grandma Ling Xian!" Seeing the old Ling Xian sitting calmly, staring at an empty cup of tea, Hua Caili called out and ran to her.
During Hua Caili's stay in the Pure Land, Ling Xian had taken care of her and doted on her, and the girl had grown to love her in return.
"Little Caili, you look well now. It seems you no longer need to go to the Pure Land," Ling Xian said, hugging the beautiful girl.
"Hmm! Father gave me a strange pill that healed me completely!" Hua Caili replied, sitting down with a wide, happy smile.
"Good, good." Ling Xian didn't ask what kind of pill it was or where he had gotten it. She glanced at Hua Qingying, and for the first time in a while, surprise and shock appeared in her eyes, though it quickly subsided. "Congratulations, little Qingying. You finally took that last step."
Although Hua Qingying had been trying to hide her aura, it wasn't difficult for Ling Xian to notice it. Especially since Hua Qingying's aura was still unstable after her recent breakthrough. She hadn't taken the time to fully stabilize her cultivation before coming to the Eternal Light Divine Kingdom.
"I was just lucky," Hua Qingying answered calmly. Although she was no longer cold and no longer suppressing her emotions, she wasn't used to interacting with others. Aside from those close to her, she didn't like to speak much.
"Where is this place? Why is Grandma Ling Xian here?" Hua Caili asked. Because Hua Qingying had flown with her at an astonishing speed, she had no idea where they were.
"This is the Eternal Light Divine Kingdom," Ling Xian answered, then proceeded to explain why she was here.
...
A few hours later, Yun Wuji finally returned from the Dreamweaver Divine Kingdom.
The moment he sensed Hua Qingying's aura, he rushed over. "You're back!"
"Yeah." Standing up, a smile bloomed on her face as she stepped toward him. Yun Wuji walked over and hugged her. "I missed you."
"I missed you too," Hua Qingying whispered back softly, a voice so gentle that Hua Caili had never imagined her aunt could make.
Yun Wuji cupped her face, ignoring everyone around them, and lowered his head to kiss her.
The two separated right after confirming their relationship, having not seen each other for over half a year.
"Woaah!" Hua Caili's lips parted cutely, and her eyes widened. She had never seen a couple kissing, not to mention her own aunt being kissed.
She stared at the scene, enraptured, as if she were watching a new element being discovered, the sky turning upside down, or a billionaire who wasn't evil.
'So good looking, so beautiful!' At the same time, she took the chance to glance at the man who had seduced her aunt. Her first thought was that her aunt must have fallen for him because of his looks. It had to be his looks. He was just ridiculously good-looking!
If Yun Wuji were to hear her judgment, he would probably spank her butt.
He wasn't beautiful. He was freaking handsome!
