An unidentified figure rushed across the battlefield undetected by Uma, who was still occupied by Kevin, Itama, and Champion. He continued to hold his head up to look at Namu, who was trying to hold himself up with every ounce of strength that remained inside him. "I have to age him back," the man thought to himself, glancing at the gigantic dust cloud that divided him and the ongoing clash.
Seconds later, he finally was spotted by Namu, who seemed to be relieved by his arrival. "Namu!" the man exclaimed. "If you stay at the age you're at right now, you're going to die within minutes!"
Namu nodded, aware of the consequences that would follow if his age remained. "Remove half my age," he requested. "That'll be enough to get me back in shape." The figure touched his back, implanting his palm right into his spine. "The process is going to be about 1 hour, and then you'll be ready to return to battle," he informed. "It may be inconvenient in some cases, but I can manage - I'll be sure to make the most of my time as a youngster again…"
Back on the staircase, Gerald and the smoke man continued exchanging threatening glances, their interactions becoming a solid part of the battle alone. "He's a smoke user," Gerald summarized. "If I hit him with the fire, he'll just turn his body into smoke and then counter my attack."
He held up his right leg once again, a normal flame of fire heating up right on his foot. "I'll try a little test and see how it goes!" he concluded.

Volume 11, Chapter 19 - Years In The Past
"I almost forgot," the man continued. "You're a fire user in your legs, this isn't going to be easy."
Gerald smiled, jumping off of the ground with his leg. "I'll start off strong and evolve along in the future!" he exclaimed, his leg hitting the man's right arm with excessive force.
"You're too weak to take down someone like me," he continued. "None of your kicks will be able to shed a drop of my blood!"
He had punched Gerald without his attack even hitting, causing his fire to disappear and him to fall onto the ground. "If you really want to fight, I'll just take over your body to save time."
Suddenly, thick purple smoke spread across the room they were in, Gerald's vision worsening by the second due to the cause. "The advantage of having Romanti in my biological name is that I have a stronger sensing system than usual!" he bragged. "Whenever you turn to smoke, I mentally lose sense of you, but you're still physically there!"
"Is that so?" Gerald's opponent replied. "I wield the Dragon Style and Smoke Style, making me a Multi-Style. As long as I'm your opponent, you're not going to land a singular hit on me no matter what!"
"Flamulia!" Gerald screamed, leaping at his opponent once again just to be blocked and countered. "I have a good idea," Gerald thought to himself. His fire disappeared from his leg, followed by a sudden thud on the ground.
Gerald had been defeated… or was he? Still conscious and in good condition, he lay on the ground in a star formation while looking at his opponent. "If you want to continue the fight, you're going to have to stop using defense," he offered. The smoke then turned darker, followed by Gerald noticing the man right behind him. "That's a good idea!" he admired, attempting to hit him. However, he was unsuccessful - Gerald had taken one of his smoke attacks in exchange for one of his while he was still in his proximity. "You were saying?" he asked.
"You're trying to get me to resurrect my solid body by playing offense," he inferred. "That won't work with my smoke attacks - one inhale, and I'll gain access to your body and rip your intestines out!"
Gerald had inhaled his smoke, giving him control to his body. "You succumbed to me, eh?" he said, laughing as he resurrected his body and walked over to his floor-bound opponent. "This fight was a mere disappointment - you're still a weak kid, after al-"
"Thanks to you, I found out how your attack works now!" Gerald said. He then hit his enemy with a kick that sent him flying into the third floor, the smoke pouring into the hallway and causing every unpowered soldier to collapse on the ground. "As long as he has his smoke style, I can't use my left leg to attack!" Gerald thought. "I'm going to have to rip his power away from him one way or another…"
He limped up the staircase, but soared into the third floor with his remaining leg. "I countered your smoke attack easily, but it caused me to sacrifice a dear limb of mine!" he exclaimed. The man looked across the battlefield at him, a burn now visible on his chest. "That was just a lucky blow, you piece of shit!"
