Chapter 296 - Memories

Cookie's breath became harder and harder with each step she took, blood still pouring down her face as she used her swords to arch herself up. "Come out and face me, don't tell me you've already fled the battlefield like a little wuss!" she exclaimed. "If I can't show Uma I can withstand your full power, then that means I'll just stay a slave to him and I'll never be free!"

She was now drowning in her own sorrowful thoughts and memories. Uma may have taken her in, but it seemed like Cookie wasn't happy one bit with him. Before she could continue sulking, however, she felt tremendous power rushing through the trees - right in her direction.

Shortly after the events of Hamila had been released to the world, multiple reactions sparked an uproar of chaos and freedom. Volume 11, Chapter 26 - Memories

Michael continued his desperate run across the forest holding the ball of cryoplasma that continued to burn his hand in separate intervals. "If I don't make it to Cookie, them lending me the remainder of their strength is going to be in vain…" he told himself, trying to encourage himself to push the rest of the way across the daunting terrain that surrounded him.

Before he knew it, he saw the border between the forest and the valley.

"You didn't back out - you're really set on letting me kill you, huh!?" Cookie asked him, noticing the now giant ball of plasma that stood on the palm of his hand. Despite her knowledge of the power, she ran across the battlefield and collided her sword with Michael's body, and he dug the ball of cyroplasma right into her body.

A sudden wave of silence and flashing lights were seen across the forest, causing Michael to close his eyes as he looked at Cookie suffering as her body slowly disassembled and reassembled repeatedly. "WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON WITH MY BODY!?" she exclaimed, slowly feeling her skin rip out as the cyroplasma ball had now devastated her body.

The impact caused her to go flying off the island of Turia, unconscious but still alive. As her descent to the ground began, however, her eyes had opened again.

This time, however, they weren't the red, bloodshot eyes Cookie normally had. Believe it or not, but she had reached the final mutation in the drug Uma had given her before death followed.

Back where Michael had landed the final blow, however, he felt himself slowly drifting into unconsciousness as he saw Cookie enter the atmosphere into space.

However, after his eyes were fully closed, she was now mutated and back onto the ground, entirely different from what she had looked like before. Her hair was now black, corrupted swirls similar to the power of NULL circulating slowly but steadily around her body. Her fingernails were now significantly sharper than before, posing as swords she could use to her advantage.

She looked down at the unconscious Michael, smiling as she had him right where she wanted. She then soared down with her ten sharp blades, each inch closer to Michael's body exciting her more and more.

However, her attack was perfectly blocked by Namu, who had escaped from the Trilan fortress and ventured off to find anyone in need of assistance due to the battles on the lower part of the island. Out of breath, he looked at the mutated Cookie while holding Michael's unconscious body in his arms, feeling his weak pulse beat against his hands. "Oh, what's this!?" Cookie screamed angrily, throwing all her fingernails out of the dirt in unison. "Look at you, you might be younger for an amount of time, but you're going to die as soon as you age back!" Cookie joked. "Is this really how you want to end up dead, saving a kid you're not even strong enough to save?"

Namu looked back at Cookie, holding the two swords he had wielded since he was a kid. "This will be my final fight, and I swear I will defeat you - not for the sake of this boy only, but to make up for my absence from the Land Of Trila!"

Cookie slightly swung her left hand in the direction of Namu, which was quickly countered. "She doesn't look like the Cookie I saw back in the dimension where Uma kept me for years…" he thought to himself, trying to devise a plan while fighting for his life. On the other hand, Cookie watched Namu suffer as she tortured him like her little play toy. "Why are you holding back, former leader? Show me what you've got, I'll become the god of this world!"

Following that speech, Namu's swords now contained a red aura coming from his hands. "If I don't end this fast, we'll both die at her hands!" he thought, looking at Cookie right in the eyes.

Namu mindlessly ran across the valley with Michael on his back, swords drawn, and ready to attack Cookie. "I'll save this young boy, I don't care if it costs me my life!" he screamed.
