"I understand!" Wen Yan replied solemnly.
"Alright, so did you find anything critical?"
"Not really, it was just when I got near Doctor Meng's house, I found out Doctor Meng wasn't home. It seemed something went wrong, so I checked it out. I didn't expect the clearance needed to be so high."
"According to regulations, your clearance isn't sufficient. I can't approve it for you, don't worry about him, he has his own tasks to handle."
"Okay, I understand."
Wen Yan was a bit disappointed, but still understood that the General Director knew where Doctor Meng had gone, but the secrecy level of the matter was very high, and clearance couldn't be granted lightly unless absolutely necessary.
Just as he was about to hang up the phone, the General Director saw new information appearing on the device.
After looking at it, his expression turned a bit peculiar.
"Wait a moment, there's something I need you to do."
"What is it?"
"There's a prisoner here, you need to see him."
