The Scorching Sun Department has always been very cautious about granting identities to Different Races. Without an identity, one is considered a Wild Demon and cannot enter human settlements.
In non-human settlements, at most, there are roads; things like water, electricity, and the internet that everyone takes for granted, forget about it.
There's no thinking about what you want to eat and finding it in the downstairs supermarket, and even if you don't want to go out, you can have it delivered to your door. Even in the Northeast in winter, wanting to eat coconuts from Hainan, you can have them delivered directly to your door.
Some experiences, once you've had even once, you can never go back.
Without an identity, you can't even get a bank card, and without a bank card, you can't have a phone, missing out on most convenient services.
As for things like insurance, don't even dream about it.
