"The camellias back home are blooming..." The white refugees whispered among themselves, exceptionally excited about the prospect of rescue, their expressions a mix of shock and joy.
Xu Cheng wiped her sweat because of the heat; the sun rarely set here. She scrutinized them, discovering these refugees had many questions, incessantly asking. Xu Cheng's wits weren't enough to convince them, so she could only fool them.
"How's Blue Star?" they asked.
"A lot has changed, not a single Ratman left now," Xu Cheng replied.
"How come there are no more Ratmen?"
"They all turned into ducks." Xu Cheng talked nonsense.
"How can rats turn into ducks!"
"I can still tell the difference between rats and ducks! Don't kid me!"
