"The so-called Idle Transfiguration can be used like this? This is astonishing—far more surprising than the magic of Kamar-Taj," Daniel muttered, hidden within a mirrored space. He stared in awe as Mahito used Idle Transfiguration to heal Hanami completely.
Healing physical injuries through manipulating the soul was something Kamar-Taj's magic also excelled at. For example, Doctor Strange's injured hands had been healed this way. Even Jonathan Pangborn, a paraplegic criminal, had used magic to restore his body.
Though Pangborn appeared to have regained mobility solely through magic, his healing wasn't inherently incomplete. Had he been more patient at Kamar-Taj, his body might have fully recovered, rendering him immune to setbacks like the loss of magic. Unfortunately, Pangborn was too impatient.
Upon realizing his enhanced physical capabilities, Pangborn abandoned his training and returned to the city to pursue fame as a basketball star. He quickly rose to prominence and seemed destined to achieve stardom and wealth. However, his dreams were ultimately dashed by external forces.
If Pangborn had stayed at Kamar-Taj even two years longer, his body would have grown stronger, and his physical issues would have resolved completely. This approach required discipline, unlike Mahito's Idle Transfiguration, which could heal injuries almost instantly.
Initially, Daniel had assumed Idle Transfiguration was limited to altering souls for creating monstrous humans. Seeing its capacity for rapid healing, he grew increasingly intrigued by the technique.
"It's a pity I can't act yet," Daniel sighed. Despite his eagerness to strike Mahito, he was bound by his agreement with Gojo Satoru. They had planned to use this opportunity to eliminate curses, curse users, and even traitors within Jujutsu High's leadership.
Gojo's decision to coordinate such an extensive cleanup might not have been possible without Daniel's influence. Spending time with Daniel had subtly altered Gojo's thinking, much like how Sengoku's strategic vision shaped Marine operations in another world.
"That's a spatial portal. The versatility of jujutsu techniques never ceases to amaze me. Even Gojo would find it hard to track them," Daniel observed as Mahito, now accompanied by a mostly healed Hanami, vanished through a portal, leaving behind a lone curse user. Daniel immediately began analyzing the spatial coordinates of the gateway.
While Gojo's techniques were formidable, they lacked true spatial teleportation. Among Jujutsu High sorcerers, only a few possessed such abilities. Aoi Todo's Boogie Woogie was one example, and another was Meimei's brother, Ui Ui. The latter could teleport people instantly across vast distances, such as from Kyoto to Malaysia.
"Mahito, Hanami, Jogo, and a curse user. These seem to be the main players," Daniel mused. Using the spatial coordinates, he traced Mahito and his group to a deserted island near Kyoto.
"The Prison Realm and the Cursed Womb: Death Paintings… so that's their aim," Daniel muttered.
From their conversation, he discerned that their attack on the exchange event served two purposes. The sudden appearance of a barrier and Hanami's mission were distractions to test Sukuna's vessel, Yuuji Itadori, and eliminate Jujutsu High students. Meanwhile, Mahito's team infiltrated Tengen's barrier and raided Jujutsu High's repository, stealing special-grade cursed objects, including three of the Cursed Womb: Death Paintings and some of Sukuna's fingers.
It appeared Gojo's overwhelming strength had exceeded their expectations, leading them to prioritize the fingers over other objectives.
"Did you find anything?" Gojo asked as Daniel returned.
"There were some interesting revelations, like their plan to use the Prison Realm against you," Daniel replied.
"A seal, huh? That's a clever move, but using the Prison Realm isn't so simple," Gojo remarked with a wry smile.
The Prison Realm was a powerful special-grade cursed object, essentially a living barrier created by a historical monk. Its sealing capabilities were so strong that even Gojo could be trapped indefinitely without outside intervention. For him, such a fate was as good as death; unlike certain entities, he wasn't immortal.
If Gojo wanted to turn into a curse after death, however, he could. As a sorcerer, Gojo wouldn't naturally leak cursed energy to form a curse upon death, but the transformation was possible under specific conditions. For most, the process was arduous, but for Gojo, it was merely a matter of choice.
"I'm curious to see how they plan to seal me. Maybe it's time I let them try," Gojo said with a mischievous grin.
"And you trust me to save you? What if I decide to leave you sealed?" Daniel asked dryly.
"Simple. You're still human. Some people here don't want to be human anymore," Gojo replied with a smirk.
Daniel immediately understood the implication. Jujutsu High's leadership had likely allied with curses due to their desire for immortality—a tempting offer for power-hungry elites. Similar phenomena occurred in other worlds.
In the Marvel universe, countless billionaires sought technological means to prolong their lives. In the Hunter x Hunter world, V5 forbade others from exploring the Dark Continent while repeatedly sending their own expeditions to search for longevity resources.
"If Muzan had been a little braver, he could have easily swayed humanity's leadership," Daniel remarked, recalling the infamous demon. Muzan's cowardice had spared humanity from a much harsher fate.
Unlike the pragmatic and manipulative curses in this world, Muzan's paranoia about betrayal kept him from ever empowering humans, even under his control.
"Do as you like. Once this is over, I'm leaving," Daniel said, standing to leave. The knowledge he had gained—Limitless techniques, emotional energy extraction, and Idle Transfiguration—held immense future potential, even if they didn't immediately enhance his power.
Despite the attack, the exchange event's second day proceeded as planned. Instead of a combat challenge, the students engaged in a baseball game, with the use of cursed energy permitted. Daniel, watching from the sidelines, found himself entertained by the chaotic spectacle.
The game inspired him. He envisioned introducing similar competitions in other worlds, pitting top warriors against each other in structured sports. Perhaps Whitebeard and Kaido could face off in a baseball match, or Naruto and Sasuke could duel in a cursed-energy-enhanced soccer game.
"The real challenge would be finding equipment durable enough to withstand their strength," Daniel mused.
The game concluded with the Tokyo team emerging victorious, thanks to their familiarity with the rules. Kyoto's students, though skilled, were penalized repeatedly for breaking the regulations, having never played baseball before.
The event fostered camaraderie between the schools, and even Kyoto's students began warming up to Yuuji Itadori.
"Even though I'm leaving, I shouldn't waste this opportunity," Daniel thought.
He created two clones, sending them east and west to collect resources. While materials for crafting high-tier pills like the Longevity Elixir were unlikely to be found, this world's herbs were sufficient for creating basic restorative and energy pills.
Shortly after the exchange event, a surprising announcement arrived: all the Tokyo students, including Maki Zen'in, had been promoted to Grade 1 sorcerers.
Despite her evident strength, Maki had long been suppressed by her family, the Zen'in clan, and had remained a Grade 4 sorcerer. However, Gojo had leveraged his connections, spending ten million yen to have Meimei endorse Maki's promotion. Combined with endorsements from Aoi Todo, Nanami Kento, and others, Maki finally received her well-deserved recognition.
Meimei's assistance extended beyond recommendations; she and Utahime uncovered the identity of the traitor within Jujutsu High's leadership—a member of Kyoto Jujutsu High. This confirmation allowed Gojo to plan his next move decisively.
