Teasing Scottie was always fun — she was like a powder keg ready to blow at any moment, which only made it more exciting.
I didn't go far before knocking on the door right next to hers.
Woosh!
"Luke!"
In complete contrast to the last greeting, this one was far more cheerful — a bright, redheaded beauty stood there smiling at me.
"Wow… you look hot, Jean," I muttered, eyeing her black skintight suit that hugged her curves just like Cyclops's uniform.
"Come in first," she said quickly, grabbing my hand and pulling me inside before shutting the door behind us.
Her room was a stark contrast to Scottie's — warm and cozy, with floral bedsheets and an army of stuffed toys scattered around.
Before I could even take it all in, Jean wrapped her arms around my neck and tiptoed up to kiss me passionately.
I was caught off guard but instantly responded, tasting her sweet lips as our tongues intertwined. My hands moved on their own, gripping her perfectly round butt through the tight fabric as I lifted her slightly.
"Ha… I'm sorry, Luke," she said softly when we finally parted, her green eyes glowing faintly. "Our first date ended so abruptly. I know you had everything planned — the private resort, the candlelight dinner, the drone show…"
She must've read one of the attendants' minds to know about all that.
"It's fine," I said with a grin, brushing my thumb across her lips. "We can always have a second, third… and plenty more dates."
That made her smile again, her cheeks flushing. "Y'know, your hand is still on my ass," she said, raising a teasing eyebrow.
"I just thought it was a perfect fit," I replied with a cheeky grin, giving her soft butt a playful squeeze.
"Okay, hands off for now, mister," she said, pressing her palm against my chest — but she was smiling.
"I'll try," I said with a smirk, sliding my hands up to rest on her narrow waist instead.
"Luke… are we dating right now? Like… are we g-girlfriend and b-boyfriend now?" Jean asked, her face blooming red as she averted her gaze.
"I'd say yes," I replied, leaning in closer to her.
"J-Just like that? Shouldn't there be something more… official?" she stammered, her fingers fidgeting with the buttons of my shirt.
"Jean," I said softly, brushing a strand of hair from her face. "I've grown very fond of you and I want to keep pursuing you — romantically. So, will you be my girlfriend?" I asked, gazing into her green eyes as my hand gently caressed her cheek.
Her lips parted slightly, but instead of answering, she whispered, "Then… tell me, is Marie your girlfriend too?" Her green eyes searched mine for the truth.
"Yes," I said simply.
"Huh… I-I thought you'd deny it," she said, stunned.
"Why would I lie? And besides," I added with a faint smile, "I'm sure you already knew the answer."
Her eyes widened slightly. "I-I accidentally read her thoughts during the meeting," she admitted in a small voice. "She was thinking about… your first time together. I didn't mean to invade her mind, it was an accident, I swear!" Her tone trembled as she looked up at me pitifully.
"I believe you, Jeannie. It wasn't your fault," I said gently, my voice low and soothing.
"S-So you really did it with her? Then… what about us?" she asked, her green eyes glistening as emotion welled up inside her.
Through my Clairvoyance, I noticed the objects in the room beginning to vibrate, floating ever so slightly as Jean's powers reacted to her turbulent feelings.
"Jean, listen to me." I cupped her face in both hands, forcing her to meet my eyes. "Yes, I love Marie — I've known her for years before I met you. But from the very first moment I saw you, I was drawn to you. You're like a beautiful brilliant flame… and I'm the moth that can't help but fly toward your light, no matter the risk." My tone softened as I tried to calm the storm in her heart.
"S-So what are you saying?" she whispered, her voice trembling. "You want to keep dating both of us?" Her eyes narrowed, hurt flashing in them. "Are you really just some scumbag playboy planning to two-time me?"
It was a bit awkward hearing her say that — because, in truth, I wasn't just two-timing.
If Jean knew the real number… she might actually turn into the Dark Phoenix right here and now.
"I'm not two-timing, Jean," I said calmly. "In fact, concepts like that were made by regular people — people with limits. People who have a short time on this earth and hearts too small to hold more than one love. They create these limits for themselves — limits that keep them unsatisfied, unfulfilled. And when their brief lives end, they're filled with regrets for having caged their own hearts." I sighed softly, letting my words hang between us.
Jean frowned slightly. "What does that have to do with us?" she asked, confusion clear in her voice.
"Look at us, Jean," I said with a faint smile. "I can do things people can't even imagine — and you… if you wished, you could read every mind in this mansion or lift every object in this room with a single thought. We aren't normal, Jean. Not by a long shot. And our lives will never be normal either." I took her hand gently. "So don't judge what we have — or what we can be — by ordinary standards."
"I-I'm still just a normal girl, Luke," she said softly, shaking her head. "I don't have powers like you or the others. Sometimes I get tired just lifting a glass of water… I don't think I'll ever live that 'extraordinary' or 'marvelous' life you think I will." Her voice wavered, her insecurity showing in every word.
"Jean…" I murmured, looking into her green eyes. "You're one of — if not the — most extraordinary, marvelous girl in the entire universe."
She gave a small, disbelieving laugh, her cheeks pink. "Th-Thank you, Luke. You really know how to make a girl feel special… even when you're lying through your teeth," she said with a wry smile.
Looking at the uncertainty in her eyes, I almost slipped. I wanted to tell her everything — that I knew the future, that she was destined to become something beyond imagination, the most powerful being in existence. I even thought about opening my mind to hers, letting her read my thoughts so she could see I wasn't lying.
But I quickly crushed that impulse. It was too soon.
If she saw the truth now, she might think I was only getting close to her because of what she would become — not who she was now. And that would destroy everything between us.
"Trust me, Jean. I'm telling the truth," I said gently, taking her soft hand and placing it over my heart. "If you could see yourself through my eyes, you'd realize just how incredibly beautiful and amazing you are — inside and out."
Her cheeks flushed a deep red as she looked away, her voice barely above a whisper.
"Y-You always say the cheesiest things with a straight face. How's a girl supposed to respond to that?"
I chuckled. "I'm just being honest," I said with a grin. "But what I said earlier — about our lives not being normal — that's something I can prove. You know I'm a super genius, right?"
Jean gave a small, amused smile. "Yeah… hard not to notice when your face is on every TV channel talking about the Citadel project."
"There's a lot more that the Watson Group's done behind the scenes," I said, lowering my voice conspiratorially. "For example — a serum that grants an extended lifespan. I'm talking 200 to 500 years of life. Not just longer, but healthy, youthful, and free of side effects."
Her green eyes widened in disbelief. "Wait—what? That's actually possible?"
"Yep," I said with a grin. "It's already been created — and tested. I've taken it myself, actually. And when the time's right, you'll get one too."
Her lips parted in shock, a spark of awe flickering in her gaze.
"See?" I said, teasingly brushing a strand of hair behind her ear. "Now do you believe me when I say our lives won't ever be ordinary?"
She laughed softly, shaking her head in disbelief, and I added with a smirk, "And this is just one of the latest versions of the serum. It'll only get better from here. Not to mention, with my growing list of powers, this serum will soon start feeling redundant."
Obviously, I was talking about S.S.S. 2.0 — its main purpose was superstrength, but a long, healthy lifespan was just a side effect of having a perfectly optimized body.
"B-but then shouldn't you… make that kind of serum public? So everyone can live longer?" Jean asked with a hopeful smile.
"You really are a gentle soul—thinking about everyone else even when something this amazing is right in front of you," I said with a grin, gently tugging her nose.
"Stop it," she muttered, blushing.
"But it's not that simple," I said, my tone turning a bit more serious. "Making it public would cause more problems than it solves—resource shortages, overpopulation, political manipulation… you name it."
"Oh… s-sorry. You're right. I didn't think it through," she said softly, shoulders slumping.
"Hey, don't feel bad," I said, smiling as I cupped her cheek. "I'm a super genius, remember? Everything can be solved in time. So don't worry too much."
"Okay… I believe you," she said with a shy smile, her voice warm and sincere.
I met her gaze. "So now you see—it's natural for me to want to be in a relationship with both you and Marie."
"Huh? Wait—how is that related to any of this?" she asked, blinking in confusion as her face reddened again, only now realizing what we were talking about before.
"Alright, alright," I said with a small chuckle. "Maybe I shouldn't have tried to justify it with logic—using things like long lifespans or even… eternal life. It just made everything sound more complicated."
"E-Eternal life?!" Jean asked, eyes widening in alarm.
"Just listen to me," I said, taking both her hands gently in mine. "You're an amazing girl, Jean. I want to spend more time with you… and I know that sooner or later, I'll fall completely in love with you."
"Wh-what are you saying…" she muttered, her entire face turning crimson as she looked away.
"But," I continued softly, "I already have feelings for someone else too. And instead of putting a limit on my heart, I want to embrace all the love I can. This is the only life I have… and I don't want to live it with regrets."
My words lingered in the air, heavy with truth. A flicker of pain crossed my mind as memories of my past life echoed quietly inside me.
"B-but shouldn't a boyfriend and girlfriend be faithful to each other?" she asked, looking genuinely confused.
"I'll be honest with you, Jean," I said softly, placing a hand on her cheek. "I'll never hurt you. My feelings for you keep growing every second, and I want to possess not just your body—but your heart too. This attraction… even if it's dangerous, I want to embrace it."
"So, I'm supposed to be okay with you and Marie then? Is that what you're saying?" she asked, her voice trembling. "That it's not cheating? Because it hurts, Luke… it really hurts knowing you've already been with her."
"Jean," I murmured, stepping closer until our breaths mingled, "forget everything else for a second. Just focus on how you feel for me. Feel my heartbeat—feel what I feel for you."
I pressed closer, her chest rising against mine. "Can you feel how hard I am right now? That's because of you, Jean. No one else."
"Luke, th-that's so… vulgar," she stammered, her cheeks flushed red.
"This is me being honest," I whispered huskily. "This is the purest form of what I feel for you. And right now, I just want to kiss you—to taste your lips again."
Her emerald eyes flickered with hesitation, then softened. "Th-then do it, Luke… kiss me."
Our lips met, and the world around us disappeared. The kiss turned hungry—wild. My hands roamed around her front, groping her soft breasts, down her back, over her bubble butt, feeling the warmth beneath her tight uniform. Through my emotion-smelling powers, I could smell her passion—her desire, her love—bleeding through every heartbeat.
She was inexperienced, unsure where to place her hands, but her eagerness made it all the more intoxicating. I knew that if I wanted I could have taken her right here, right now; she wasn't under the influence of any of my seduction powers, so she really wanted me as much as I wanted her.
But unfortunately, this wasn't the right time. We had a mission ahead—a rescue that couldn't wait. So, I forced myself to calm down, ending the moment with one last long, lingering kiss.
"Haa… haa… L-Luke… haa… Th-this was even more amazing than the last time," Jean whispered, her green eyes glowing with emotion.
"Yes… I think I'm getting addicted to kissing you, Jean," I said with a grin, before kissing her again.
She smiled shyly but kissed me back just as passionately. Slowly, I forced myself to wind us down—to rein in the emotions before they took over completely.
"I… I don't think I'm okay with you dating Marie, Luke," Jean said softly, hugging me tighter. "B-but I've fallen too hard for you to stay away. So… I'm willing to give you, give us—a chance. Just please be honest with me going forward. Don't ever betray my feelings. Even if I can't read your mind, trust me—I'll know if you try to hurt me."
Her fierce green eyes locked onto mine for a brief second before she buried her face in my neck, holding me close.
"I won't," I whispered, breathing in the sweet scent of her red hair, feeling my racing heart begin to slow.
My heart—and even my dick—had calmed down. But my brain? Not so much.
Because during that entire moment, I had realized something unsettling. The power that had always made things easier for me—the Harem King trait that made girls overlook my other partners—hadn't affected Jean at all.
Jean Grey was completely immune to my Harem King trait!
It was the first time that had ever happened. I didn't even think it could happen. And if she was immune to that, I wasn't sure whether my Cuckqueen power would work on her either.
That meant I would have to tread very carefully this time. No shortcuts, no powers—just effort. I would have to make her fall so deeply for me that she would choose to accept being part of my harem on her own.
Because if I messed this up, I could already imagine the fiery outcome—Jean in her anger and jealousy burning down either the other girls… or me.
I sighed inwardly.
Yeah, I was playing with fire, literally.
But if that's what it takes to conquer her heart,
then I'll walk through her flames willingly!
