Chapter 177 - Chapter 175: One Hour

The Will of Fire in Konoha united all the shinobi of the village, and most of the people living in this village agreed with this idea.

Asahi also agreed, but in a situation where everyone was united, individual strength also had to be powerful.

Senju Hashirama distributed the Tailed Beasts, allowing each major ninja village to possess enough power to deter foreign enemies.

However, this power did not stop the wars; power only intensified the ambition in people's hearts. If Hashirama had been able to cooperate with Madara at that time and directly unify the ninja world with their formidable power, perhaps the subsequent Three Great Ninja Wars would not have occurred.

After living in the ninja world for so many years, Asahi's thoughts slowly began to change. Initially, Asahi thought about problems as an outsider, but now he often thinks about them as a Konoha shinobi.

His position dictated his perspective, and the difference in his stance determined Asahi's starting point for considering issues.

The peace brought by mutual recognition and the peace brought by world unification had the most fundamental difference. But what if mutual recognition could be achieved on the basis of world unification? Perhaps peace would last a little longer.

Simply put, it was about combining the philosophies of Senju Hashirama and Uchiha Madara, taking their essence and discarding their dross, and merging them together.

And only strength could achieve all of this.

Returning to the surveillance point, Asahi said to everyone, "Shikaku-sensei has already started making arrangements, so there's no need to worry!"

"That's good." Hizashi said.

"You all continue to monitor. I'm going to rest for a while. When it's my turn to switch, remember to call me." Asahi said.

"Alright."

In his conversation with Shikaku, Asahi initially just wanted to find an excuse for himself. Ultimately, letting Orochimaru go in exchange for power was not fundamentally about protecting Konoha, but simply about strengthening himself.

However, Asahi had lived in Konoha for so long that his mindset had already shifted from 'outsider' to 'Konoha shinobi'. Unbeknownst to him, perhaps even Asahi himself hadn't realized that he had developed different feelings for Konoha.

Originally, the so-called defection meant nothing to Asahi, but he had gone to great lengths to conceal things in order to remain in Konoha.

When he saw Konoha shinobi sacrifice themselves, anger would rise in his heart.

Upon hearing that Kumogakure was invading Konoha, he immediately began to devise tactics to counter them.

However, regardless of Asahi's current mindset, having absorbed so much information from his previous life, Asahi instinctively disagreed with Konoha's approach.

The human heart is the most unpredictable, and mutual understanding between people can only exist in manga.

But now that he had strength, Asahi also hoped that he could bring about some changes to Konoha.

"Hmph!" Asahi opened his eyes and turned to look at Hizashi, saying in a deep voice, "From now on, cancel the surveillance. Hizashi-senpai, please go to the camp and inform Shikaku-sensei to immediately mobilize all the shinobi on the front lines to surround Kumogakure's front-line forces and cut off their retreat."

"What!?"

Hizashi was startled by these words. This was different from the plan they had previously made. Why the sudden change?

"Go at once!" Asahi said in a deep voice, "In one hour, I will assault Kumogakure's front-line forces. You only have one hour."

"Asahi, you're not joking, are you?" Hizashi asked incredulously.

"Of course not." Asahi said.

"Then you can use the Flying Thunder God Jutsu to go inform Shikaku." Hizashi said.

"No. If I go, they will definitely stop me. Only if you go and tell them I've already started acting, will they cooperate with me." Asahi chuckled.

"This..." Hizashi hesitated.

After all, doing so would not only render all previous ambush deployments against the Kumo shinobi useless, but it would also make Konoha's situation unclear.

"Go! Hizashi!" Zuiun pulled Hizashi and said, "If we delay any longer, it will be too late!"

"Alright!"

"Good, I'm counting on you." Zuiun winked at Asahi, then followed Hizashi away.

Kumogakure had deployed a ninja army of three thousand on the border of the Land of Fire. To confront three thousand people alone required not only immense strength but also a vast amount of chakra as support.

If there were no particularly troublesome strong individuals among these three thousand Kumo shinobi, Asahi could certainly achieve it now.

Originally, Asahi was still somewhat hesitant, as exposing such formidable strength could very likely arouse the suspicion of the higher-ups.

Some of Asahi's ideas were extremely dangerous in the eyes of the higher-ups. Once dangerous ideas combined with powerful strength, it was very likely to bring harm to Konoha.

But the argument with Shikaku today also made Asahi understand the most fundamental difference between himself and the Third Hokage and others.

A clash of ideologies.

The Hokage lineage was too conservative and too idealistic. There was always a huge difference between ideals and reality.

Konoha's high-ranking officials' apprehension towards strong individuals meant that Konoha could not tolerate them. However, if this strong individual was strong enough and possessed a certain degree of prestige, they would not be easily ostracized.

Just like Tsunade and Jiraiya, if they hadn't voluntarily left the village, perhaps Konoha's higher-ups, in order to maintain their ruling position, would have made some minor moves against them, but these minor moves would definitely not shake their position.

Konoha's White Fang was an exception; although everyone agreed that what he did was correct, the fact was that he indeed broke the rules of the shinobi.

Asahi was confident that he would not, and absolutely would not, make such a low-level mistake.

Moreover, supported by immense prestige, Asahi also had a large number of supporters in Konoha, and these supporters were Asahi's confidence in confronting the higher-ups.

Especially now, with the war between Konoha and Kumogakure, Asahi could gain sufficient prestige in the war.

When he had no strength, Asahi had to compromise and be cautious. But now that Asahi had gained sufficient strength, why should he retreat?

Five kilometers away was Kumogakure's front-line position. Monitoring the Kumo shinobi's movements five kilometers away from their position, besides the Byakugan, only his nature sensing could achieve it. Moreover, one had to avoid Kumogakure's patrol teams and might have to change positions at any time.

After Hizashi and the others left, Asahi avoided all patrols, quietly approached Kumogakure's position, and silently calculated the time.

One hour.

One hour was enough for Hizashi to inform Shikaku and mobilize shinobi to rush over for support. After one hour, Asahi would launch an assault on the camp in front of him.
