Watching as his mother, Lena, laughed excitedly after winning her Mahjong hand, William shook his head and took a few steps back.
Standing near a pillar in the living room, he gestured for Selene to follow him to bed.
Selene, surprised that William wasn't joining the game, hesitated for a moment before subtly shaking her head.
If anyone else had said it was too late and they wanted to sleep, Nissa might have believed them.
But if Selene—a fellow vampire— claimed she needed rest, Nissa would immediately suspect something was up.
Seeing Selene refuse, William had no choice but to go upstairs alone.
As for convincing the women to stop playing… yeah, not happening.
Even Abigail, who was normally the most rational among them, was fully focused on stacking her tiles.
Trying to stop them now would be asking for trouble.
As he walked toward his bedroom, Sunday suddenly reported:
"Sir, bad news.
Nick Fury and Talos woke up a minute ago—but they're pretending to be unconscious.
It appears that the Kingsman memory-wiping needles had no effect on them."
"Hmm?"
William froze, standing in place for a few seconds.
But after thinking about it, it wasn't too surprising.
Fury was the king of spies, and Talos was an alien shapeshifter.
If the memory erasers didn't work on them, it made sense.
However, this meant he had to find another way to erase their knowledge of the Orb of Power.
Otherwise, there could be unnecessary complications in the future.
"Looks like I really need to start learning English wizardry."
Although, to William, their spells were weak and unworthy of the title "wizardry",
some of their strange and obscure magic was still worth learning.
Right now, for example, a simple memory-wiping spell could have solved everything instantly.
"Find out if there's a family named Malfoy living in England—preferably one that owns a castle."
"Also, the men in the family should have light blond hair."
"Understood, Sir."
William was looking for the Malfoy family because he knew they were filthy rich and obsessed with wealth.
At this stage in his life, money could solve most problems, so there was no need to fight wizards if he didn't have to.
Considering that one Galleon was worth five British pounds,
a single ton of gold would be worth over 2.6 million Galleons.
He could easily bury the Malfoys in money while also subtly pressuring them with his strength.
William ordered Sunday to have combat robots escort the now-awake Nick Fury to a solitary cell at Yellowstone Base.
Then, he went to bed.
### The Next Day
At noon, the moment William woke up, Sunday reported:
"Sir, I have located a suitable Malfoy estate.
It is in Wiltshire, in the southwest of England."
As William brushed his teeth, a photo of the Malfoy family appeared on the mirror screen.
At a single glance, he knew they were the ones.
"Contact Lucius Malfoy and invite him to dinner tonight at Gordon Ramsay's London restaurant."
"Sir, if you're in a hurry, you could simply teleport there.
While you were asleep, I already sent drones and spider bots into Malfoy Manor."
As Sunday spoke, the mirror screen changed, showing a live feed of the Malfoys having lunch—along with a pretty young woman.
Seeing other people eating made William a little hungry, so he casually said,
"Tell the kitchen to prepare lunch."
After washing up, William—still wearing his robe and pajamas—headed to his study.
Using Devonshire family stationery—complete with the family coat of arms—he wrote an invitation letter for Lucius Malfoy.
When sealing the envelope with red wax, William infused it with magic energy,
embedding the Devonshire stag emblem into the wax—causing it to glow with a faint blue light.
Then, he closed his eyes, focusing his mind on the Malfoys' dining room.
Thanks to the live drone feed, he easily locked onto the spatial coordinates of Malfoy Manor.
With a tap of his finger, he injected a thread of spatial energy into the letter, causing it to vanish silently—
only to suddenly appear in midair above the Malfoys' dining table.
### At Malfoy Manor
The entire Malfoy family, who had been chatting happily over lunch,
suddenly froze in terror, as if someone had grabbed them by the throats.
All eyes were fixed on the mysterious letter, floating and swaying in the air before landing in front of Lucius Malfoy.
Lucius, a veteran in dealing with dark magic, immediately pulled out his wand.
Chanting a spell, he fired an attack at the hovering envelope.
But before the spell could hit, the blue-glowing stag emblem on the wax seal suddenly came to life,
opening its mouth and devouring the magic as if it were a snack.
This was the moment the entire family panicked.
They jumped from their seats, backing away in fear.
Draco Malfoy, now a grown man and engaged, reacted instinctively.
Grabbing his fiancée, Astoria Greengrass, he hurriedly cast his own spell while retreating.
Unfortunately, his magic—and even his mother Narcissa's simultaneous spell—was also devoured by the magical stag emblem.
At this point, Draco didn't hesitate any longer.
Shouting for his parents to run, he grabbed Astoria and bolted for the door.
"WAIT!"
Draco turned back in shock, only to see his father, Lucius, raising a hand—stopping Narcissa from casting another spell.
Not only that, but Lucius Malfoy was reaching out… to take the letter.
"Lucius, have you lost your mind?!"
Narcissa tried to stop him, but to everyone's surprise,
as soon as Lucius touched the magical stag emblem,
the glowing blue energy retracted—returning calmly to the wax seal.
The envelope drifted gently into his palm.
"What the hell is going on…?"
Now that Lucius was unharmed, Narcissa let out a deep breath before asking in concern,
"Lucius… how did you know it wouldn't hurt you?"
"No," Lucius corrected her, his expression serious.
"It's not that it wouldn't attack…
It's that it only attacks people who aren't the intended recipient."
He lifted the envelope, allowing Narcissa and Draco to read the name on the front.
Lucius Malfoy.
On the back, his eyes fell upon the Devonshire family coat of arms—the stag emblem.
Lucius froze.
He hadn't expected this letter to come from William Devonshire—a Duke of England,
and the richest man in the world.
What shocked him even more was the implication…
William Devonshire was a wizard.
And not just any wizard—a terrifyingly powerful one.
He had managed to embed magic into a simple letter, strong enough to devour multiple spells from trained wizards.
But instead of fear, Lucius felt a strange excitement.
Unlike other so-called "pureblood" families, the Malfoys had once been closely connected to the English aristocracy before the Statute of Secrecy.
Because of that, Lucius was very familiar with England's upper-class elite.
The moment he saw the Devonshire coat of arms, he immediately recognized it.
And now… he couldn't believe William Devonshire was one of them.
