Yan Luoxi groggily awoke, opening her eyes to see a ceiling covered in cobwebs. The sight jolted her instantly awake, only to realize she was in a shabby room with nothing but a bed, a wardrobe, and a chair.
She held her exploding head, trying to recall what happened before she fainted. It seemed like she was collecting a report in the auditorium when someone tapped her on the shoulder. As she turned around, she only managed to catch a glance of a masked face.
She didn't even have time to feel fear before passing out, so where was she now?
The shadows of the trees swayed outside the window, and she felt an unusual coldness from the slightly open glass window. It was not even October, yet the weather already seemed like winter.
