Gu Qian was taken aback, a shadow of melancholy fell between her brows. During those years at the orphanage, she watched her playmates being adopted by kind-hearted couples. She couldn't help but fantasize that one day her biological parents would come looking for her and take her back to cherish her.
She waited day after day, hoping for that day to come. Yet reality was always cruel. She waited for so many years, until the hope in her heart turned into desolation. In the end, they never came for her. Instead, it was Grandpa Mo who adopted her and took her home.
In those days living under someone else's roof with the Mo Family, while the Mo Family treated her well, she never felt a sense of belonging. Especially seeing the harmonious scenes of the Mo Family, she would resent her biological parents in her heart.
How heartless must they be to abandon her?
