Chapter 7 - Chapter 7 Honorary Knights (Part 2)

[Amil's POV]

*Time skip 4 mins*

It was only a little after our introduction that Lumine, Paimon, and I were rewarded with the title of Honorary Knights of Favonius. Well technically, only me and Lumine did as Paimon didn't really do much.

After Jean gave us those titles, she then asked for our continued assistance with their Stormterror problem.

She informed us that there were 3 temples dedicated to the winds of Mondstat: the Wolf of the North, the Lion of the South, and the Falcon of the West.

With the help of Lisa tracking down Stormterror's magical energy signature, they speculated that said dragon was using those temples to fuel his power. According to Jean, this level of power displayed by the dragon was leagues above how it was when it aided the Anemo Archon in the Cataclysm 500 years ago. How she got that knowledge is beyond me.

She then suggested that we split up into teams to investigate the temples and take out whatever was impowering it. The teams were organized and assigned as followed:

Amber & Lumine (+ Paimon) - to the North Wind Temple

Jean & Kaeya - to the West Wind Temple

Lisa & me - to the South Wind Temple

With those instructions given, we then headed out for our respected locations, which leads us to our current situation. Lisa and I have arrived at our destination, the temple named after the South Wind.

"Make sure you're prepared handsome. You never know what might happen in there" cautioned Lisa with a…certain tone in her voice. She must be, to borrow from Jean's words, 'flirting' with me.

"I'll keep that in mind" I responded straightforwardly. My response seemed to disappoint her a bit. Maybe due to me not being as easily embarrassed as Lumine was.

Lisa then walked up to the temple and worked her magic to unseal the barrier that was denying us entry. It seemed that Jean wasn't exaggerating when she called her a magician's expert as it look her less than 2 minutes to crack the barrier.

"Alright handsome, shall we make head on in?" Lisa asked as she locked my arm with both of hers and pressed it against her well-gifted chest. I raise an eyebrow at her actions, but nonetheless, nodded.

We then entered the South Wind Temple.

[Inside the temple]

As we entered and made our way through, Lisa squeezed my arm a bit to get my attention and she succeeded. I turned my head to look at her and she stared back with her green eyes.

"So tell me Amil, what was your purpose in coming to Mondstat? I certainly doubt that fending off an angry dragon wasn't on the list of priorities" questioned Lisa.

"You are correct. I wasn't expecting to fend off a dragon either. My original purpose was to find some lodging until I could end up affording my own living space" I agreed.

"You look as though you could not only afford your own house, but also live lavishly for more than a few years. You're saying you aren't well off?" Lisa asked in in slight surprise.

"I do have money, courtesy of a group of a less than reasonable group. They are very notorious around Teyvat. You might've heard about them, they call themselves the Fatui" I responded.

At the mention of that name, Lisa's face darkened a bit and her eyes gained a dangerous glint with a small glow of Electro energy coursing through her eyes. She then, just as easily, returned to her normal expression.

"Ah, I see. So you robbed them?" she asked with a smirk.

"I wouldn't say robbed, more like took my compensation for their unreasonable assault on me, which they offered rather quickly" I answered.

She giggled in response "It seems you can be very persuasive in your negotiations Mr. Amil. I hope to one day see those skills put to use."

I once again raise an eyebrow at her, but she completely ignores it. I then give up on trying to understand her and continue walking, my arm still locked in her embrace.

It isn't long before we encounter some enemies in the form of Anemo slimes. A few small ones, and 2 big ones.

Lisa, after disengaging from my arm, begins to charge up her attack.

"I may be just a humble librarian, but even I know when it's time to get some work done" she smiles with a dangerous glint in her eyes while also giving a smile that doesn't really match her actual intent.

I then watch as the lightning she displayed gets sent out in a great show of power. When the dust settled, their was only one Anemo slime left.

"Oops, I missed one~" she said not looking all that bothered.

She then prepared another lightning attack, when I stop her.

"Hold on Lisa, do you think we could follow the slime to where the source of Stormterrors power is from?" I asked.

She immediately shook her head. "There's no need for that darling~ I already know where we need to go"

"I see. Then I shall allow you to lead the way again once more" I said.

"Oh my, how gentlemanly of you~" she responded.

After she hits the last Anemo slime with her lightning, we then proceed further into the temple. Standing in our way was a few puzzles and contraptions that hoped to block us, but they stood no match for Lisa.

As we entered into the deepest part of the temple, we saw what looked like a giant Turquoise crystal that radiated Anemo power

"Looks like we found one of the sources" I said.

"Indeed" she responded back. "But I have a feeling that this won't be as easy as it might appear, right?" she asked seemingly to no one.

Then, a group of enemies from the Abyss Order came out to defend the crystal.
