In the morning Xu Kai opened his eyes and found Cheng Xiao was already dressed to go out. Cheng Xiao heard movement from the bed and didn't even spare a glance in his direction.
"Cheng Xiao!" Xu Kai called out to her, but she opened the door and left the room.
Xu Kai laid there staring at the roof, had it not been for what he almost did, their relationship would have gotten better. He got up from the bed and also started to get ready to go to work.
Cheng Xiao drove to a diner and ordered for a breakfast meal. She took out her pad and started with the layout of the design. Her main priority right now was to finish the design; there was only two days left before the deadline.
After the Cheng Xiao finished with her breakfast, she saved the draft and packed up her things. She stood up and took her bags and walked towards the counter and paid for the meal, after thanking the woman Cheng Xiao turned around and walked out of the diner.
Cheng Xiao got into her car and drove straight to work, when Cheng Xiao arrived, she parked her and got out. She walked into the building and greeted the security guards and checked in.
Gu Xixi on the other hand, held a document in her hands, she couldn't believe that Cheng Xaio made her do all the work by herself.
"This is all your fault Cheng Xiao." Gu Xixi muttered with so much hatred.
Everyone started coming into the room and the head called for Gu Xixi and asked for the file. Gu Xixi handed the file over, when the leader opened the file, he was at lost for words.
"What is this?" The head of the department asked.
"The file sir." Gu Xixi replied.
"This is your work?" He asked again taking off his glasses.
"Yes sir!" Gu Xixi replied.
"So, you believe that in this entire office, you are the only one who is the most talented right?" He asked and Gu Xixi nodded her head.
"YOU DARE ACT SO ARROGANT TO EVERYONE WHEN YOU CAN'T EVEN HANDLE A SINGLE DOCUMENT." The department head shouted.
Gu Xixi's eyes widened, she had thought that he was complimenting her, who knew that he was shouting at her. The other colleagues heard the shout and snickered.
"Look at that she couldn't even do it." They started whispering amongst themselves.
"This is what you want me to go and represent for the CEO?" He shouted again and threw the document at her.
"I have always ignored the way you act in the office for your uncle's sake. If you want to act arrogant and spoiled, you should have skills to back you up." He added.
