Su Li walked into the hours four hours later after she left, Jiang Cheng was seated in the living room watching a soccer match. When he heard the footsteps, he turned his head and their eyes met, he stood up faster than lightning hitting the ground.
Su Li saw the look in his eyes and took a step back. "Too late!" Jiang Cheng said and picked her up and headed towards their room.
Cheng Xiao sat in the room with a sketch pad in her hands, she was in the process of creating a new design that was requested by a client. The client wanted to gift his wife a necklace to celebrate their forty years anniversary.
Xu Kai walked into the room and walked up behind her; he looked over her to the design and was shocked on the spot. How was she this talented, he could hardly believe his eyes.
"This is incredible." Xu Kai muttered under his breath and Cheng Xiao tilted her head back and her eyes met his, she saw his eyes looking at the design in her hands.
"You're disturbing me." Cheng Xiao said, and her eyes went back to the pad in her hands.
"How, are you not done?" Xu Kai asked.
"Does it look anywhere near to be completed?" Cheng Xiao asked back with sarcasm.
"It looks good already." Xu Kai said and leaned in kissing her cheek.
"You..." Cheng Xiao was stunned.
"We are giving this marriage a chance." Xu Kai said.
"I didn't get your grandfather's approval yet." Cheng Xiao replied.
"Next weekend, after that you are not allowed to push me away anymore." Xu Kai said.
"Why..." Cheng Xiao asked.
"Promise me one thing?" Xu Kai asked.
"What?" Cheng Xiao asked.
"To give me a chance once grandfather approve." Xu Kai said.
"I can't promise you that." Cheng Xiao replied.
"Yes, you can, and you will." Xu Kai said.
"I will make one thing clear to you." Xu Kai said seriously.
"What is it?" Cheng Xiao asked.
"With or without my grandfather's approval, I will never let you go." Xu Kai leaned in and whispered the words into her ear.
"I trust after weekend you will start seeing yourself as my wife." Xu Kai said and walked out of the room.
Shen Mu just reached home and took her phone and called the girls, but Su Li wasn't picking so she just Cheng Xiao the news.
"His family was wonderful; it was like we have known each other forever." Shen Mu told Cheng Xiao with a big smile on her face.
"His mother is so amazing." Shen Mu said.
"I am glad your mother-in-law is nice to you." Cheng Xiao said.
"She is not my mother-in-law yet." Shen Mu corrected but her cheeks were deep pink.
