"I don't..." Cheng Xiao could not understand why Xu Kai accepted her after all those things she said.
"I know what you and said, I know you are not a gold digger. Forgive your grandfather dear." Grandfather Xu said with a smile.
Cheng Xiao stumbled back in shock; Xu Kai appeared behind her catching as she lost her footing.
"Cheng Xiao, I have always thought of you as my daughter in law." Mrs. Xu said.
"Why?" Cheng Xiao asked in a whisper.
"You are the only one that handle him." Xu Kai's father said.
"Is that there only reason?" Cheng Xiao asked again.
"Cheng Xiao, do you know the first time I saw Xu Kai truly angry was the day I sent him the picture of you with that guy." Mrs. Xu said.
"That was you?" Cheng Xiao was confused.
"Yes, I might not have been there, but I could feel his anger that day. Even during events he always went alone, but when he took you with him, there was always a possessive vibe he would give towards you. I am sure you noticed how other people soon started to treat you better." Mrs. Xu explained.
"Yes, isn't that because he said that seeing me was the same as seeing him." Cheng Xiao remembered the time when a client was a bit rude to her and Xu Kai made it clear that Cheng Xiao required the same respect he got. He also said that seeing her was the same as seeing him.

"You are the only one to have captured my heart in my thirty-five years. Just when I thought that I was going to die alone, you came in and got my heart to beat again, you brought back a heart that I thought was dead." Xu Kai said.

Cheng Xiao looked at his face, she saw the love in his eyes and gave up instantly. This man loved her so much that he was willing to marry her just so he didn't lose her. Cheng Xiao knew the way they got married was not romantic, but she could not deny how he has been trying this whole time.
