"Cheng Xiao, when are you getting married. Look at your friend she has also just gotten married, do you want to stress me to death?" Her mother called a while after Shen Mu got off the phone with her mother.
The only explanation would be that soon after the call ended between Shen Mu and her mother, her mother sent the pictures to Cheng Xiao's mother. Xu Kai looked at Cheng Xiao as she struggled to explain to her mother that she too was married.
What would she say that she was forced to married to her boss. Xu Kai took the phone from Cheng Xiao.
"Good afternoon Mrs. Cheng, I am Cheng Xiao's husband." Xu Kai introduced himself on the phone.
"Husband?" Mrs. Cheng asked in shock.
"Xu Kai!" Cheng Xiao panicked when he introduced himself on the phone.
Xu Kai shook his head and continued to talk with her mother, after a while Xu Kai handed the phone back to her.
"Married? You got married?" Cheng Xiao's mother shouted on the phone.
"When, with whom?" Her mother questioned.
"Mom, I will come home tomorrow and explain everything." Cheng Xiao said and hanged the phone before her mother could say anything else.
"I am sorry, I just don't want you to be on edge any longer." Xu Kai apologized.
"It's fine, this was going to happen sooner or later." Cheng Xiao said her mind going into deep thoughts.
"Let's go inside." Xu Kai said, they were in front of Hu Yiting's mansion.
"What did auntie say?" Shen Mu asked when they walked in.
Everyone had entered the mansion and left the couple outside when Cheng Xiao got the call from her mother. Xu Kai and Cheng Xiao sat on the couch.
"She's angry!" Cheng Xiao said.
"Really? I thought she would be overjoyed that you are finally off the shelf." Shen Mu said.
The two mother had started calling their daughters spinsters even though they were only twenty-eight. Cheng Xiao had hated the name, every time she went home her would sigh and exclaim. 'Here comes my spinster daughter.' At first it had bothered her but she soon learned to ignore it.
After three hours the two couples stood up to leave the newlywed couple.
"We'll be going back." They said and left.
Shen Mu now felt shy when she was left alone with Hu Yiting. Hu Yiting stood up and offered his hand to her. Shen Mu looked at his hand before she shyly took it, Hu Yiting led her up the stairs.
They stood outside the master bedroom, Hu Yiting opened the door and enter with Shen Mu behind him.
