"How Dare You Lowly Mortals Kill My Son?!!!"
An incredibly loud voice echoed from above.
Ray and the others looked up, seeing a blue vortex opening up above them, a muscular figure weilding a golden trident slowly descending from within the vortex.
"I-It's Poseidon," Kaldur gasped, fear and shock marring his face.
"The god of the sea," Arthur closed his eyes in despair, he could almost sense the end of Atlantis.
Clang!! Clang!!! Clang!!!
Even Aquaman's trident trembled in what seemed to be fear of Poseidon's own trident, making Arthur lose hope even more.
Even Clark was looking grimly at Poseidon with his fists clenched, ready for battle.
Warp!!
The vortex closed up immediately after Poseidon had completely passed through, now Poseidon's appearance was fully revealed.
He was an extremely muscular man with a tall figure towering even Clark's physique. He had graying shoulder-length hair that flowed majestically in the water and a thick curly beard full of gray hair. His eyes were blue like the color of the sea and he looked rather handsome, dressed in a majestic greek exomis robe with golden wrist guards on his wrists and golden sandals on his feet.
Waving his trident at Ray, Poseidon roared, "Insolent Mortals, It seems we have become scarce for far too long that you dare to fearlessly take the life of a demigod."
"Lord, please forgive...," as Aquaman began to speak, Poseidon didn't give him a chance and sneered, instantly waving his golden trident at Aquaman, sending forth a powerful ray of blue light which hit Arthur in his chest and sent him flying into the distance with grave injuries, only stopping when Clark supersped to catch him.
Turning towards Poseidon with his eyes full of guilt and remorse, Clark said out loud, "We we're wrong to take the life of your son, he did not deserve that. I shall take responsibilities for your loss, but I plead with you to let the others go unharmed."
Ray sighed, he knew his foolish older brother never agreed with killing no matter how bad the person killed was. He was probably feeling very guilty about watching him kill that octopus earlier.
"Clark, don't be so naive, he doesn't give a damn about his son, all he cares about is his Pride. Leave this old fool to me, by the time I'm done with him, he'll tell me where he really hid the Zarthium Ore," Ray said, coldly staring Poseidon in the eye.
"Me? An old fool? You seem to be a little too cocky just because you killed that bastard son of mine earlier, but i'll tell you this, I'm nothing like him!, I'm nothing like you've ever seen in your miserable mortal life, I. am. a. god!!! HAHAHAHA!!!" Poseidon bellowed out, laughing.
Clark was startled, he couldn't understand how Poseidon could be so heartless and uncaring.
"Tell me where you hid the Zarthium Ore or so help me, I. WILL. OBLITERATE. OLYMPUS," Ray said with an eerie calmness in his voice, meaning every single word.
"You really do seem to underestimate the gods, little boy," Poseidon said indifferently, before proceeding to swing his golden trident at Ray, sending out a blue ray of light at him.
Slash!
Boom!!!
The blue ray of light hit Ray and exploded, causing great turbulences in the ocean and sending giant waves after giant waves across the entire Atlantic Ocean.
But the blue ray of light had no effect on Ray whatsoever, it didn't even cause any damage to his clothes.
Aquaman and Kaldur watched with shock evident on their faces. Not expecting Ray to be able to withstand a blow from the god of the sea, even though they knew Ray was powerful, the awe of Poseidon's might had been ingrained into their brains growing up, so it was difficult to replace it with an image of him being weaker than Ray.
Seeing that his attack had no effect on Ray, Poseidon's face showed slight surprise, feeling that the mortal before him might not be the weakling he thought he was
"Try again," Ray said calmly to Poseidon, a frightening chill hidden within his eyes.
Poseidon's eyes twitched in anger and he swung his golden trident at Ray once more, but this time, imparting his golden trident with more divine essence.
Slaaaashhhhhh!!!
Booooooooom!!!!
This time around, a larger ray of light swept forward at Ray, exploding with a very loud sound and causing an even greater turbulence within the ocean as the waters shone with a bright divine light. However, by the time the turbulence cleared, Ray was still unharmed with not as much as a single scratch on his clothes.
"Try... Again."
Ray raised his arms, inviting Poseidon to attack him. He would make him feel the sense of hopelessness his octopus of a son felt before he killed him.
"You are but a mortal... If i want you to die, YOU DIE!!!" Poseiden roared, repeatedly swinging his trident around with all of his power, sending countless blue rays of light at Ray.
Slash!!! Slash!!! Slash!!!...
Boom!!! Boom!!! KaBoom!!!...
This time, the force released not only affected the Atlantic Ocean, it affected half of the whole world, causing seismic tremors all over half of the planet. Whirlpools, Tsunamis, Floods and many other sea-related disasters began to take place.

_Gotham_
Bruce Wayne stood on the balcony of his large mansion, looking at the dark raining sky as he felt the slightly trembling earth beneath him.
"Sigh! They're fighting Alfred, They're simply fighting and the whole world is suffering for it" Bruce sighed.
Alfred came out to the balcony and stood next to him.
"That is the fate of ordinary people, Master Bruce, We can't do much in a battle between gods."
But the two of them have no idea how wrong they were, it wasn't a battle which was taking place in Atlantis, it was simply a game of a Cat playing with a mouse before it ate it.
If only they knew.
If only...

_Beneath the Atlantic Ocean_
_Forbidden Region of Atlantis_
Poseidon had been attacking Ray for several minutes now without even succeeding in moving him from where he was or causing an injury of any sort on his body.
In fact, the entire city of Atlantis amd the underwater world would have been destroyed by now if not for Ray who had been making use of his meta-ability, [Dynakinesis] to disperse 80% of the energy in the force of Poseidon's attacks which had spread across the ocean.
"Just... Die Already!," Poseidon's now hoarse voice yelled as he swung his golden trident at Ray one final time, putting in all of his power, again.
Bang!!!
This time —however, Ray didn't just stand around taking the hit, he grabbed the trident and without much effort, he broke it in two.
"Wha..."
Poseidon gasped in shock, dropping his now broken trident. Others might not know how powerful his trident was, but he knew. He had ordered Hephaestus to forge it using the strongest metals in the universe and had infused it with a lot of his divine power, even his brothers; Zeus and Hades, had blessed it with their divine power.
It was a magical weapon rivalling Zeus' thunderbolt and yet, the mortal before him had snapped it in two without so much as a slight struggle.
While Poseidon was struggling with his mental breakdown, he suddenly heard a voice that made his hair stand on end.
"My turn," Ray announced, clenching his right fist.
"No!!! No!!! Nooooo!!!"
Fear stricken, Poseidon yelled and tried to flee from Ray, who flashed from where he was in an explosive burst of speed and appeared in front of the fleeing Poseidon, his clenched fist drawn back.
"No..."
And then came Ray's fist.
Boooooooooooooooooooom!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It was as though the Big Bang had occurred all over again. Poseidon's body instantly blew to bits. The space around Ray began to shake and crack, however, the other areas outside of that range were strangely untouched.
It was actually Ray who used his Dynakinetic ability to limit the energy output to the area around him so as not to split the planet in half.
However, his Dynakinesis just awakened not too long ago and although it had been growing rapidly in power since it awakened, it wasn't powerful enough to withstand such an amount of energy, so Ray had to transfer that energy elsewhere.
_An Unknown Galaxy_
There was a gigantic uninhabited planet wandering aimlessly in space, minding its own business, when a purple square-shaped hole suddenly opened up next to it and out poured an ungodly amount of energy.
The transferred energy blasted a huge hole through that gigantic planet, before the square-shaped hole then close back up.
This was another one of Ray's meta-abilities, one he awakened when he was 6 years old and named, [Spacial Pathway]. As its name suggests, it enables Ray to create pathways in space, however, there was a limitation.
Only non-sentient things could pass through the pathways, so Ray never really used it much and instead, usually made use of his [Teleportation] ability.

_Back At The "Battlefield"_
Aquaman and Kaldur had come out of whereever they had been hiding and their faces were pale, undoubtedly traumatised.
"You killed Poseidon with one punch," Aquaman suddenly stated, his face not showing much emotion.
"Ray, you...," Clark hesitated, he didn't know what to say about Ray killing yet again.
"Don't worry Clark, I didn't completely kill him. He's a powerful god afterall and these fullblooded gods can only be killed by completely obliterating their souls or they'll end up reviving. Plus, He still needs to hand over the Zarthium Ore," Ray said, using [Extrasensory Perception] to sense Poseidon's divine soul already beginning to subconsciously recreate his body.
Clark sighed in relief, though his heart was still heavy when he remembered the demigod octopus that Ray had killed earlier who would not be able to revive.
Whoosh!!!
A bright blue light suddenly shone in the place where Poseidon died and his soul form became visible to the normal eye in the form of a semi-transparent naked body resembling Poseidon.
The semi-transparent Poseidon slowly began to take shape and become less and less transparent, until it eventually became a body made of flesh and blood.
"Hiiiissss!..."
A gasp left the Poseidon's mouth as his eyes opened.
Poseidon had revived.
"Now Then, Give Me The Zarthium Ore!"
