Slowly, painfully, Keres became aware of her surroundings once more.
She was still bent over the table, her body trembling and covered in a thin sheen of sweat. Sharky loomed above her, his chest heaving as he caught his breath. His dragon hung heavy and spent between his legs, glistening with their combined fluids.
Artemis, the virgin goddess of the hunt, the proud warrior who vowed never to marry, had been holding herself together.
She watched Demeter fall on the dragon of Sharky. Persephone melted on his dragon arms. Enyo broke beneath his punishment and Keres surrendered herself completely.
Artemis's eyes burned. Her breath grew uneven. Her thighs pressed together unconsciously.
She was done waiting. She with furious grace, silver light swirling around her. Her cheeks were red, her eyes fierce, her heartbeat loud enough to shake the air.
"ENOUGH!" she declared angrily, emotionally, jealous but honest. "Sharky, from this moment on, you are my husband."
