"Getting ready for the event." Thea replied, applying a final coat of lip gloss.
"Which dress did you wear for today's event?"
Thea put the phone against the dressing table, giving Charlotte a clear view of her outfit.
"Like it?" She asked, striking a pose, eager for her friend's approval.
"Hmm... It's looking pretty on you.." Charlotte replied, her voice filled with sincerity.
"Okay, get ready, I won't bother you now." Charlotte continued, already starting to wrap up the call.
"Hello—Charlotte, listen!" Thea tried to get a word in, but it was too late. The screen went dark as Charlotte hung up abruptly, leaving Thea staring at her phone in frustration.
"This girl is so impatient," Thea muttered with an exasperated sigh, rolling her eyes. Despite herself, a small chuckle escaped. Shaking her head, she smiled, knowing it was just Charlotte being her typical, hurried self.
