Chapter 9 - Desperate

----Asgard----

Loki was causing trouble in the Bifrost and its keeper Heimdall was engaged in a furious fight with him. Loki desired to own sole control the key to the celestial passage way, the Sword of sight, Heimdall's sword.

Loki struck Heimdall on his back causing the old god to lose balance but not fall.

"Give up old man, just give me the key and maybe I will spare your life." Loki said with a cynical smile spread across his face.

"You need to get out of the clouds it is constantly and surely stuck in and know that you will never have it. How many times does your father and brother to forgive you for doing wrong? How many? You are a disgrace to Asgard."

Heimdall got back on his feet. Loki looked back at him and laughed. "Poor Heimdall, coped up in here has narrowed your sight, my all-seeing god…I am the god of trickery and illusions, it is an occupational hazard. Live with it"

Heimdall charged at the god but passed right through him. It was an illusion. Loki stood behind him. His illusions designed that even the god of sight could not differentiate it from reality.

Loki clutched his belly and laughed at the trap Heimdall had clearly fallen for. Heimdall recovered and lunged at Loki again catching him on his shoulder blade.

Loki did not move way in time because now he had a cut to prove it.

Loki looked at the wound and deadpanned.

"That was my favourite shirt." He spoke harshly and began throwing a barrage of attacks the old god's way. Heimdall could barely fend of the attacks at the speed the now angry god was going at. He lost grip of the sword and fell backwards.

Loki had a shocked expression but it soon disappeared. He did not usually win battles like this.

He stood beside the sword and was about to pick it up.

"You have a daughter." Heimdall shouted as his fingers barely grazed the hilt of the sword.

Loki froze and turned slowly towards Heimdall.

"You have lost, why make silly jokes. If you want to make a jock or rick someone else don't do it to the god of it all." Loki responded defiantly not believing Heimdall's words.

"Her name is Valia and she is your daughter. Her mother said never to tell anyone especially you about her existence. She gave her to me and I took her away." Heimdall continued as he got onto his feet.

"Odin would have never allowed her to go. She would have been his heir and why say anything. Hi thought her mother said not to tell."

"Odin does not know about her and you were fighting just now better than I have ever seen you for your shirt. I thought you could change if you had something more to life for instead of letting your immortality define you.

If you do not believe me ask the sword."

"Ask your question, think wisely before you reveal and it shall be answered"

Loki was mesmerized and, in the trance, asked.

"Do I have a daughter?"

The sword shone brighter and showed him what he needed to know. His meeting with Hela, his affair, the birth, the child, the war and the negotiation but what struck was the amount of power his daughter held when she was near death and her unique features.

Loki dropped the sword of sight and asked harshly.

"Where is she, where did you send my daughter?"

"She would he a decade old by now and dwells in Helheim under the service of high priestess, Iduna, in her royal palace."

Loki had tears in his eyes but did not allow them to fall.

"She is a decade old and her mother is Alleha."

"What do you mean Alleha? Her mother is Hela. Odin's first born, your sister. Heimdall retaliated confused.

"I knew she was lying about something when we met but I didn't know that she was Hela and that she…was…my…sister." By this time, Heimdall was already beside the distressed god with his sword in hand.

"I have to find her" these were his final words before he disappeared. Acting on his statement.

"I really hope I did right by the little goddess." Heimdall thought to himself as he put the sword in its rightful place.
