Xavier closed his eyes, as his heart continued to hammer against his chest. What were the possibilities that Jennifer Reyez was his wife he'd been searching for?
Although Xavier wasn't able to overhear all of their conversation, he did hear a few parts. It seemed she'd also been one of Xander's slaves but was able to escape. But other than that, it seemed she'd been violated by Mr. Steven and several other people.
He recalled when he'd just met her, she didn't shake his hand because she didn't like physical contact. It wasn't a surprise that someone who'd suffered from such a thing wouldn't like to touch other people.
Xavier's heart pricked in pain as his mind started to wander from one thing to the other.
If she was indeed Anastasia, why didn't she return to him? Was she worried that he would cast her away like some trash after what had happened? Did she think he'd forgotten about her or maybe, already given up on finding her after several months?
