Chapter 92: Wooo, Feeling Amazing...

30 minutes later*

I rub my chin, debating whether I should've let Momoyo and Alucard go off on their own. Then I start thinking about what could actually harm either of them, running through the possibilities for another second before realizing the number is very low.

And that's not even including me as another factor for anything dangerous enough to threaten them.

I look around the Flying Dutchman, keeping the ship as far away from the beach as possible so no one can spot it. As I take in the old, eerie surroundings, I slowly realize that I'm basically standing on a freaking haunted ghost ship. In addition to me being alone on it, at that.

Letting out a long sigh, I use Traveler's Door to appear on the beach. After making sure no one is around to see me, I use Traveler's Door again and continue on my way.

A moment later, I arrive in Gravity Falls, a mysterious little lumber town that just so happens to be an epicenter for supernatural occurrences and paranormal activity.

Then I make my way over to the Mystery Shack and enter through the main entrance, immediately finding myself surrounded by shelves of strange merchandise and cheap souvenirs.

I spot Wendy working behind the counter, or at least, that's what I'd call it if she weren't sitting there reading a magazine during work hours. She doesn't even bother greeting the customers ahead of me, much less me when I walk in.

I don't pay much attention to Wendy after that and instead turn my attention to the merchandise scattered around the shop. As I casually browse through the shelves, I glance around the rest of the Mystery Shack and don't see anyone else of note besides her and the other customers, most of whom seem to be tourists looking through the souvenirs.

I nod to myself before leaving the Mystery Shack. As soon as I step outside, the Cards of Blasphemy materialize and begin to circle around me, with the Cards of Fool, Error, and Door moving to the front.

Together, they project a floating sphere that displays the interior of Sefirah Castle, including the laptop sitting inside. I continue walking without acting out of the ordinary, keeping my eyes forward while the laptop runs its Computational Divination in the background.

As I continue wandering through Gravity Falls, the Computational Divination finally gives me the results I wanted, and immediately leaves me wanting to punch something just to vent my sudden anger.

Apparently, if I ever pull Fate Lust out of the Sefirot: City of Calamity, Gravity Falls' own Fate, Fate Weird, would respond by destroying everything in this universe before leaving to go play somewhere else.

I stare ahead for a moment as I keep walking.

It seems Fate Weird really doesn't like sharing.

If I were to kill Bill Cipher too early, Fate Weird would destroy the entire universe. Apparently, it doesn't want the final villain disappearing before the story, meaning the major canon plot events, have a chance to properly play out.

It doesn't even matter if Bill shows up earlier than he's supposed to. As long as most of the story runs its course before I get rid of him, Fate Weird doesn't seem to care about the details.

Talk about annoying.

Luckily for me, Fate Weird handles things differently from the other Fates. Instead of going out of its way to hide things, it leaves countless details sitting out in the open, making the truly important ones harder to notice among all the obstacles.

Too bad for Fate Weird that it's dealing with me. I have the Error's Uniqueness, which makes exploiting Loopholes practically second nature, especially when I can make use of Error itself as well.

And if Fate Weird ever becomes too troublesome, I can always use Blind Stupidity on it when needed.

In any case, I just have to make sure Dipper and Mabel don't end up dead before they can gather the allies they'll need to deal with Bill.

Alternatively, I could just snatch up every material I need from this universe as quickly as possible and leave before Fate Weird decides to destroy the whole place.

But then again, this place is stupid in a way that's actually pretty fun, so I wouldn't mind sticking around for a while.

I quickly shake my head and use the Loss of Control authority to suppress the unstable thought process that's starting to spiral again. Once my mind settles, I let out a quiet breath.

I seriously need to do something about these random bursts of impulsivity before they become a bigger problem.

"Anything that triggers me to lose control is prohibited."

The moment I finish speaking, I feel a sizable chunk of Spirituality within the Justiciar Pathway disappear as Prohibition takes effect. The rule settles over me almost immediately, restricting anything that might push my thoughts or emotions toward another loss of control.

Surprisingly, this Prohibition is going to last much longer than I expected. I can already feel how firmly the rule has settled into place.

I blame Gravity Falls, and Fate Weird in particular, for not paying enough attention to me.

I just hope I don't somehow end up becoming genuinely stupid while I'm in this universe. After everything I've survived up to this point, having Gravity Falls slowly rot my brain until sheer stupidity is what finally kills me would be less tragic and more personally insulting.

I pause for a second, thinking back over the thoughts I just had and wondering when exactly I started developing such a dry, dark sense of humor about everything.

The future shifts once again, judging by the latest results from the Computational Divination. Seeing it change so easily makes me really want to cut loose and see what happens, but this isn't the time for that. Besides, I have absolutely no interest in finding out exactly how Fate Weird plans to destroy this universe if I push things too far.

Well, not like I can yet anyway.

20 minutes later*

"THE DEVOURER IS HERE! RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!" A random gnome screams in terror as he races past me, followed closely by a panicked swarm of other gnomes.

"AHHH! SCARY GIANT BAT MONSTER!" Mabel shouts a second later, somehow running right alongside the terrified crowd.

"THIS ISN'T IN THE BOOK!" Dipper yells from behind them, sprinting almost blindly with his face buried in Journal 3 as he frantically flips through the pages.

I watch them all come running out of the forest, not too far from the Mystery Shack. I'm just about to check the newest results from the Computational Divination when a horrifying roar suddenly echoes through the trees.

A massive shadow bursts from the forest moments later, flying low to the ground in the shape of a gigantic bat. Its body is covered in numerous mouths lined with razor-sharp teeth, while several glowing red eyes lock onto everything in front of it.

Then the creature abruptly stops right in front of me. One of its many mouths opens, and Alucard's voice comes out as casually as if she weren't currently shaped like someone's sleep-paralysis demon.

"Hello, Master. Did you happen to see a bunch of snacks running around?"

I stare at her for a moment, genuinely wondering what exactly had been going through Alucard's head when she decided this was the best way to spend her time.

"Why...?" I ask slowly as I watch Alucard shift back into her original form.

Her massive body collapses inward until she's once again petite and slender, with straight dark hair falling just below her shoulders. She's dressed almost entirely in white, wearing a neat, office-style outfit beneath a long trench coat and a fuzzy white cap.

Girlycard Alucard.

I'm still having a semi-hard time wrapping my head around the fact that she's basically a parallel version of Alucard who was born female instead of male.

"I ate one of those little snacks and found myself liking the flavor." Alucard smiles as if she didn't just casually admit to eating a gnome. After a brief pause, something in her expression turns noticeably colder. "The two brats got annoying once they realized I didn't care about them and wasn't going to bother with them at first." Her smile widens slightly. "So I showed them exactly how much worse things could get if they kept trying to stop me."

She says it lightly, almost playfully, which somehow makes it sound much worse.

"Right... Where's Momoyo?" I ask Alucard.

Alucard glances toward the forest for a moment, as if trying to remember, then lifts a hand and points somewhere deeper between the trees.

"Do you actually know where she is, or do you just not care enough to look for her?" I ask, staring blankly at Alucard.

"I know where she is, Master. You just never told me to go get her." Alucard explains, her eyes briefly flicking past me.

No doubt she's still tracking the gnomes.

"Yeah... alright. Go do whatever you were doing. Just keep those two kids alive, okay? I still need them while we're in this world." I order Alucard.

Alucard gives me a quick salute before taking off after the fleeing crowd on foot, apparently deciding not to bother transforming back into that giant bat monster form.

"This world is already infecting Alucard." I let out a deep sigh before turning my attention back to the Computational Divination.

I use the latest results to locate Momoyo and see what she's doing at the moment, only to find her beating the hell out of a group of unicorns because they had the nerve to declare that she wasn't pure of heart.

"Now that's just bullshit. Momoyo is literally pure... at heart, at least."

I stop for a moment and seriously wonder why Momoyo would even run into unicorns in the first place or whether I really want to keep using Computational Divination to dig any deeper into this. Especially when the results are already showing Momoyo doing her best to strip every last bit of hair from their bodies, to the point that more than one of the unicorns is practically bald.

Nah, I'm not that curious, and I'm still sane enough not to go looking for more answers on that subject. I'd rather put my attention toward something actually productive—preferably something that'll help me in the long run.

I start walking away from the forest and head deeper into town, looking for something to distract myself with for a while before turning my attention back to one of the plans I already have in mind, with Computational Divination helping me work out the details.

Honestly, I really should come up with a few other ways to deal with Bill besides just slapping him with one of the Sefirot. Ideally, before Momoyo decides to fight him somehow or Alucard gets the bright idea to just eat him instead.

At times like this, being sane honestly feels like more of a hassle than anything. Part of me can see the appeal of just going completely off the rails, doing whatever comes to mind, and not caring what happens afterward.

I check how much longer the Prohibition on me is supposed to last and find that it's still holding strong.

Yeah. Great. Just what I needed. Man, do I sound sarcastic. I may need to meet up with Momoyo sooner rather than later.
