After some time of slightly awkward silence, I was getting ready to open my mouth, but Tiona spoke first.
"I don't know what to say. Hahaha."
What she said actually made me laugh.
"Hahaha. To be honest, me neither. I'm not very good with words."
"You're saying that even though you're a famous writer? If you're not good with words, imagine the two of us." Tiona pouted.
"Well, writing is different from speaking."
"Is it that different?" she asked.
"Yes, it is. When I'm writing, I can focus and the words come easily. But when I need to talk to someone, especially about embarrassing things, I don't feel very comfortable."
Clearly, that was a lie. The truth is, I feel perfectly comfortable talking to anyone. I just decided to act that way to seem a bit "cute" to the two of them.
And it worked.
Tiona was looking at me with bright, love-filled eyes.
"About what we talked about earlier… Ais." I turned to look at her.
"I made my decision a long time ago. I was just waiting for the right opportunity," she said, staring at me. She didn't seem embarrassed at all—she was incredibly confident.
"And you, Tiona?"
"I already made my decision a long time ago too. If it weren't for Ais, I would've thrown myself at you ages ago. Hahaha." Tiona laughed.
"Speaking of which, when did you two start falling for me?"
"That's a good question…" Tiona said, looking at the sky, thinking deeply.
"..." Ais stayed silent, thinking for a while. After some time, she was the first to answer. "I really don't know when I started falling for you." At least she was honest.
"I…" Unlike Ais, Tiona remembered exactly when she started liking me. "I think I started getting interested in you for real when we went to the dungeon together. Do you remember? Me, Tione, Ais, and you."
"Oh, I remember that."
"Right after that, I ended up seeing something pretty unnecessary, but I think it's better not to mention it."
She was talking about the time she saw me having sex with Tione. Since Ais didn't know about that, she looked confused.
"What did you see?" Ais asked.
"It's nothing important." Tiona laughed.
"Yes, nothing at all."
"Hmmm… Suspicious," Ais said.
After another stretch of awkward silence, Ais decided to open her heart to me a bit more.
"I think I started liking you from the first time I saw you. I thought you were interesting. When I found out you were the author of all those books, I got even more interested. After that, my love for you just kept growing. I couldn't control myself."
"Ais…" I murmured her name as I looked at her. "I wasn't expecting that… now I'm embarrassed." I scratched my head.
"Me too." She said, her cheeks turning red.
"Hey, I'm still here." Tiona pouted and pinched me.
"I know." I ruffled Tiona's hair.
Then we fell silent again, staring at the starry sky. But clouds began to gather, and it looked like it was going to rain.
"Looks like it's going to rain," Tiona said. "Why don't we go somewhere better? I don't want to get my clothes wet. What do you think, Ais? There's an inn nearby."
It was obvious what she was hinting at, and even Ais realized it.
But she got extremely embarrassed and refused immediately!
"No, we shouldn't. Let's go back home." She stood up.
But we hadn't even talked properly yet.
And they hadn't confessed the way I expected.
"What do you think, Luan? Don't you want to go to an inn now?" Tiona looked straight at me.
I looked at her, then at Ais.
"Ais, what's your answer?" I asked.
"Hm? I already said I'm going home."
"I mean whether you're really going to stay by my side. Even after saying all that, you still haven't clearly told me your answer." I already knew what she would say, but I wanted to hear it clearly.
"..." Ais stared at me for a few seconds before finally saying, "Yes, I'll stay by your side." The corners of her lips lifted slightly. I took a few steps toward her. When I was close enough, I grabbed her hands.
Her hands were pale and soft.
Ais is shorter than me, so I leaned down a little to try to kiss her. Just a quick peck.
But Ais turned her face away.
Her face turned as red as a tomato.
"I'm not ready yet," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. She could have died from embarrassment.
"Hahahaha!" Tiona laughed. "You're so cute, Ais."
"Tiona, be quiet."
"Here, Luan, you can kiss me if you want."
I let go of Ais's hands and walked over to Tiona. She jumped and wrapped her arms around my neck. Then she stole a kiss from me. We did that right in front of Ais, not caring at all.
"See, Ais? It's easy~~"
"..." Ais looked away and said, "I'm going home."
"And I'm going to an inn with Luan. See you soon~~"
"..." Ais stared at us for a few seconds, then vanished instantly.
"Now that we're alone, why don't we have some fun right here?"
"Here? Didn't you say you wanted to go to an inn?"
"Don't you think doing it up here could be fun? My heart's racing just thinking about it."
"You're pretty perverted, aren't you?" I said, looking into Tiona's eyes.
After glancing in the direction Ais had run off to, I looked back at Tiona and kissed her.
