Snap!
Thinking about the big news he had missed, Morgans was furious. He raised his wing and smacked Pheasant.
"You idiot! It's your fault we're late!"
Pheasant didn't dare argue. He just mumbled under his breath,
"Weren't you the one fooling around with that girl last night? I don't get your taste… You only want girls over 200 pounds…"
"What did you say?" Morgans narrowed his eyes.
"N-Nothing," Pheasant quickly shrank back.
After a few sparks flew, Pheasant finally got the live den den mushi ready.
"Boss, everything's set. We can start."
"What are you waiting for?! Start it already!"
Morgans snapped, annoyed. "Every second we waste is lost money!"
At the same time…
Across the world, news staff who had been on standby for days jumped into action.
As the largest news agency in the world, Morgans' network had tens of thousands of reporters and freelance contributors.
From Sabaody Archipelago to Fish-Man Island, from West Blue to East Blue, North Blue, and even the Grand Line, news crews set up massive outdoor screens to broadcast the battle live.
The clash between West Blue and the Two Emperors Alliance had been the hottest topic for months. Now that the footage was being broadcast, crowds gathered instantly.
They even priced the viewing areas based on distance.
The back row cost about thirty Belly per person.
Seats in the middle cost ten thousand beli per person.
Front row spots go for one hundred thousand beli.
The best viewing positions? One million beli each.
Even with the high prices, spots sold out fast.
"You're telling me I can watch the Battle of the Century for just a thousand beli? That's a robbery!"
"This is incredible! The newspaper's so bold risking their lives on the battlefield to film this. They deserve every bit they earn."
"Hey, hey! Stop pushing! I can't see the screen anymore!"
The crowd in front of the giant broadcast screen was packed shoulder to shoulder.
"Shhh! Quiet, everyone! The broadcast is starting!"
Instantly, the whole area fell silent. Every pair of eyes locked onto the screen.
"Boss, so many people are watching!"
Pheasant said, his face red with excitement as he checked the soaring viewership numbers.
He focused hard, carefully adjusting the camera angle on the den den mushi to capture every detail.
For Pheasant, it wasn't about the money, it was about sharing the "art" of his footage with as many people as possible.
This was exactly why Morgans admired Pheasant.
His passion for journalism reminded Morgans of his younger self.
"Hmph, looks like you've learned a lot but don't just stand there, keep filming!"
Morgans said, clearly in a great mood, already imagining a river of beli flowing toward him.
Zheng—!
"Mom, look out!"
Gion caught up to Big Mom from behind, sword in hand. At Zeus's warning, Big Mom spun around and clashed with Gion's blade using her Emperor's Sword.
Sparks flew as the two were forced apart.
"If you want to cause any damage, you'll have to get through me first," Gion said with fierce determination.
"Heh, little girl, you're no match for me. Better get out of the way before I ruin that pretty face," Big Mom sneered.
Gion didn't flinch. She raised her sword and pointed it at Big Mom. "Cut the nonsense. Watch your step!"
Konpira gleamed as Gion thrust forward like a flash of cold light.
"Oh? So you've got spirit! Let's see what you've got!" Big Mom roared, and the two clashed again in mid-air.
Meanwhile, below them, Enel hovered cross-legged in the air, lazily spinning his golden staff in his hand, clearly bored.
"You bastard, Shadow. Do you think I should step in?" Enel asked.
"Lynch told you to stay back and keep an eye out for any other Admiral-level threats. I suggest you follow orders and stay still, you don't want to get tied up in something messy," Moria warned calmly.
"Kaido and Big Mom are already out there. Who else could show up at that level? Stop acting all serious,"
Enel muttered as he cleaned his ears and grabbed his golden staff. "Fine, you stay here. I'll go deal with any Admiral-level enemies if they show up."
"…"
"…Actually, forget it. I'll just stay put. No need to get yelled at later," Enel said after hesitating for a moment.
That beating he got years ago from Lynch had clearly left a deep impression.
"Coward," Moria said with a smirk, amused by Enel's caution.
"What did you say?" Enel's expression darkened. Daring to call the god himself a coward? That was crossing the line.
"I said, you're a coward."
"You're the coward!"
"Then go on, step out there if you're not scared."
"Hmph," Enel scoffed.
"Trying to provoke me? Not gonna work."
"Ohh, coward."
Enel: "…"
If it were anyone else, Enel would've already blasted them into the sky to show them why lightning strikes from above. But Moria… Moria was different.
Pirate Alliance Direction
Noisette and Marnier exchanged a glance they knew this was their chance.
Ever since the battle between the West Blue and the World Government years ago, the world had come to know that West Blue had two Admiral-level powerhouses: Lynch and Gion.
Now, with Kaido and Big Mom keeping Lynch and Gion occupied, this was the perfect moment to strike. If they acted now, they might be able to destroy the strange flying object in the sky.
Their mother, Big Mom, was still up there. Even if something happened, she could protect them.
"Little brother, if you don't make your move now, when will you ever have the chance?" Marnier said.
"Sis, you're absolutely right!" Noisette replied.
Charlotte Noisette, Big Mom's fifteenth son and the Charlotte family's Minister of Finance, had strong combat power.
Charlotte Marnier , Big Mom's thirteenth daughter and the Minister of Yeast for the Charlotte family, was just as strong.
The two charged toward the Annihilator's flying city, with Noisette brandishing his sword. Their use of Moonwalk from the Marine Six Styles made them look more like elite soldiers than pirates.
But just as they were about to reach the floating city, a crackling Zzzilla! echoed through the sky. A bolt of yellow lightning flashed in front of them.
"Yeah hahahaha! Two mortals you're about to see the power of God," Enel said, hovering in the air, thunder surrounding him.
"God's Judgment!"
Enel flicked his wrist, and a massive lightning bolt, dozens of meters wide, struck down on the two siblings.
When the lightning faded, Rozette and Manyier were gone, completely vaporized by the heat. Not even ashes were left behind.
People often joked that the Rubber Fruit could ignore the powers of the Thunder Fruit but insulation doesn't protect against high temperatures.
You might resist electricity, but not heat.
If the Rubber Fruit could also be immune to heat, then the Mera-Mera Fruit and the Magma Fruit might as well cry in a corner.
Looking back, Ace's sacrifice to shield Luffy from Akainu's "Great Eruption" starts to feel like a cruel joke fire protecting the Sun God from lava...
Instant kill.
After his time traveling in space, Enel's strength had already reached Admiral-level. The two siblings didn't even have time to react before they were erased.
"If you don't want to die, then come," Enel floated in front of the Annihilator's flying city, guarding it himself.
"Brother… Sister…" A trace of sorrow flickered in Perospero's eyes.
Unlike when Loki killed the snake-headed siblings in secret, Noisette and Marnier died in front of everyone.
Perospero glanced around. Many of their younger siblings showed sadness, more or less. But no one dared say a word.
No one… except Big Mom.
She didn't look the slightest bit angry about losing two of her children.
