Wanda's feet skidded across the dust-laced ground as the aftershock of Black Dwarf's impact trembled beneath her boots. The twin suns above blazed with merciless heat, their rays drilling into her skin, sapping her strength by the second. But she didn't flinch. Her fingers curled, swirling with radiant red magic that pulsed in time with her racing heart.

Black Dwarf's colossal form towered over her, each step a thunderous stomp, dragging a trail of steam through the shimmering desert. He cracked his knuckles, face curling into a toothy sneer.

"You wield trickery. Lights and whispers," he scoffed, tapping the haft of his war-hammer against his shoulder. "But this world answers only to strength. Strength forged in agony. In battle. In loyalty to Lord Thanos."

Wanda's smile sharpened. "Strength isn't just about muscle, you oversized garden gnome. It's about will."

She raised her hands—and the sand around her erupted in a swirling vortex of crimson energy. Arcs of raw chaos magic crackled through the air as she spun, forming intricate sigils with practiced motion. She hurled a wave of power straight at him.

Black Dwarf didn't dodge.

The blast smashed into his chest, burying him in a crater of molten glass and dust. The desert trembled, the twin suns pulsing in the haze above. Wanda breathed heavily, focusing, steadying herself against the brutal heat.

A low growl echoed.

From the crater's center, he rose.

Scorched. Burned. Bleeding slightly.

Grinning.

"That tickled," he rumbled.

He charged. Not like a warrior—like a meteor.

Wanda barely raised a barrier in time before his shoulder collided with her midsection, launching her like a ragdoll. She slammed through a dune, rolled, bounced, and flipped, before finally slowing with a painful groan. Her ribs screamed in protest.

Before she could stand—he was there.

His hammer came crashing down. She vanished in a blink of red smoke—teleporting behind him, both hands glowing.

"FOR EARTH!" she roared, unleashing a point-blank chaos blast into his back.

Black Dwarf grunted, staggered forward—but twisted instantly, backhanding her with his massive arm.

She hit the sand again, coughing blood, vision swimming.

"Your magic is weak," he muttered, looming over her. "Fleeting. Like your people's resolve. I've seen it. Your planet. Mutants. Gods. Machines. All doomed to fall."

"Shut your mouth," Wanda growled, rising slowly. Blood stained her lip, her arms trembling from the heat.

He lifted his hammer again.

"You fight for a broken world. I fight for destiny. For Thanos. For Death."

Their next exchange was fierce. Wanda twisted midair, sending chains of crimson light wrapping around Black Dwarf's limbs. He flexed—and shattered them.

He hurled his hammer—it spun through the air like a comet—and Wanda conjured a dome of hardened chaos to block it. The hammer cracked it, drove her back—but the shield held.

Barely.

"You're strong," she admitted, sweat glistening on her skin under the merciless suns. "But I'm not just fighting for me…"

Her magic surged again. Images filled her mind—Aiden. Her fellow mutants. Her brother....

"I fight for all of us. For mutants who were cast aside. For heroes who bled. For the world that made me suffer… but never broke me."

She levitated, chaos spiraling violently around her, her eyes glowing white with unfiltered power.

"I AM SCARLET WITCH."

With both arms raised, she brought down a storm of magic—crimson meteors, hex bolts, blades of energy—raining destruction on the battlefield.

Black Dwarf roared, enduring the onslaught, charging through it all with a fury of his own.

The two clashed—over and over—force versus finesse, muscle versus magic. He caught her in mid-flight once, slamming her into the ground. She caught his hammer mid-swing, reversing its momentum with a flick of power.

The desert shook.

The suns blazed.

They fought until both were bloodied.

Until Wanda's knees buckled.

She collapsed to one knee, sweat pouring down her face, her breath short and ragged. Her shields were failing. Her body was overheating. Her magic flickered under the strain.

Black Dwarf loomed over her again, chest heaving.

"I told you… you don't belong here."

He yanked his hammer free from the ground and pointed it at her throat.

Wanda lay on the burning sand, her body twitching, the heat of the twin suns searing her flesh. Every breath was agony—the air itself like razors in her throat. This planet... it was killing her. Not from wounds or lack of power. But because she was human. And this place wasn't meant for her kind.

Black Dwarf stood above her, silent. His grip on the massive hammer was firm, but there was no joy in his stance.

"This is not how I wished to win," he muttered. "But I cannot fail my mission."

He raised the hammer high above his head, gaze steady. She was broken. Dying. And he had a duty to finish it.

Then—

An explosion.

Blinding.

Crimson.

It threw him back across the sand like a ragdoll.

When he landed, the ground cracked beneath him. His armor smoked.

He rose slowly, looking ahead.

The sky had dimmed.

The twin suns no longer shone through.

Everything was covered in a red hue. A dome of raw, pulsing aura had encircled the battlefield.

Crimson.

Living.

Breathing.

It coated the land like a second skin—dense and ancient.

He looked up.

And smiled.

"YOU STILL HAVE A FIGHT IN YOU! Perhaps I underestimated magic!" Black Dwarf roared, slamming his foot into the ground as he charged forward, his hammer ready to strike.

But Wanda didn't answer.

She floated.

Her body rose without effort, her limbs limp like a puppet—yet her presence grew suffocating. Her eyes snapped open—glowing deep, predatory red.

The crimson aura exploded outward from her like a wave.

She lifted a single hand—fingers barely moving.

And he stopped.

Mid-charge.

An invisible force struck Black Dwarf like a battering ram, hurling him back through the air and slamming him into the rocky walls of the canyon with enough force to crater the stone.

He staggered to his feet.

Only to scream.

Tendrils of chaotic energy lashed at him—searing red whips that sliced open his armor and tore through flesh.

"You wield strength..." came her voice—but it wasn't hers.

Not the soft, trembling voice of Wanda Maximoff.

This was something ancient. Echoing. Layered with countless whispers—male, female, monstrous.

"...but you are no creature of entropy. No child of unmaking."

Black Dwarf swung his hammer in rage—but it never connected.

His arm was gone.

Torn clean off by a spear of red light that pierced through bone and armor as if they were paper.

He bellowed in rage and agony, only for another blast to take his leg.

Blood sprayed the sands, sizzling on contact.

Wanda drifted closer, head tilted, hair billowing in the chaotic winds, her aura a storm around her.

"Chaos is not power... Chaos is origin," she whispered—her voice doubling, tripling. "It was here before the stars. Before the stones. It is not wielded. It wields."

Black Dwarf crawled now, hammer forgotten. Half his face was seared off, his armor melted into his skin. He looked up—only to see a thousand red eyes staring back at him from within her aura.

"Chaos does not lose to dwarves."

Her hand closed into a fist.

His body exploded.

Blood. Bone. Ash.

Every piece of him was scattered across the sand like a child's shattered toy.

Only silence remained.

Her body slowly lowered back to the ground, the crimson storm fading into a humming glow.

And then—

Soft. Gentle.

".....Wanda...Survive, my darling....."

The dome of crimson energy began to shrink—wrapping around her like a cocoon. It hardened into a shell of glowing magic, impenetrable and absolute.

Outside, the sun blazed.

Inside, she slept.

Untouched.

Alive.

Protected.
