Chapter 6 - The Wanderer/05

Solomon POV

I can't keep this up. These monkeys believe they have any power over me have mistaken my indifference for weakness.

As I walked back and was struggling to rein in my anger I abruptly came to a realization. What I was holding back wasn't my anger.

It was my mana. It was my strength.

I had been unknowingly holding myself back ever since I reached these shores. Was it to ROB no…. it's more local.

Might be one of their gods not wanting me to be involved in whatever game they have on this continent or… no… it can't be.

I turned my head slowly and surveyed the area I was walking in. Towards the inn the Dornish are staying yet for some reason… I saw over ten ravens and crows in my path. Watching albeit stealthily but if you know what you are looking for you will see it.

So that's why.

Bloodraven huh. I won't let this insult pass. I do not have a spell that I can use to attack him now but if he dares invade my mind again I will crush him with the weight of my soul.

The only reason he succeeded before was that I was unconscious as I came up with a reason I felt weaker than before.

As a proper In-betweener I decided to threaten him to his face and not hide behind cloak and dagger methods like these milk drinking Westerosi.

"You dared to act against me Rivers. Just know that you will die by my hands and mine alone. I will rend your spirit from your shell and infuse your soul into a precognition mystic code for daring to believe you can control the mind of a Tarnished Warrior."

I then snapped my finger to imitate the action Colonel Mustang from FMA uses to signal use of his ability and all the crows amd ravens in my sight caught on fire and were swiftly turned to dust.

He started this war… I'll finish it.

I shook my head lightly and stepped into the inn before heading to my room to rest. Some whores were giving me fuck me eyes but I did not have the time. Now that my mind isn't impaired I need to plan my stay in these lands properly.

I can't stay in Dorne for sure. The Martells are too entrenched there and control most of it too well.

Hours later

Okay I have a game plan now. I need a domain of my own here. I need to be a noble soon and take over one of these abandoned castles that are around Westeros. From the stories I have set my eyes on OldStones the former domain of the now defunct House Mudd.

No one has claim to that land. It's near a water source and is decently defendable.

To get it… would not be too hard if what I assume is correct. I just need to compensate both House Targareyan and House Tully while pleading my case.

What would I use to trade?

Mythril swords. Unsurprisingly one of the many spells taught in the lands between is the Storage spell which we use to hold our belongings and riches by carving a part of a pocket dimension for each person's personal use. It's not infinite but it's large enough to hold as much as a decently large mansion.

I have various weapons and riches I have accumulated in my life in there. I am probably as rich as a Lannister of Lannisport so that means I can throw money at my problems.

Luckily I have ores of mythril in my inventory and a few swords. They are very good magical foci but they are also very long lasting, eternally sharp and have a good cutting power while being very light and easy to handle.

They will be grateful for these blades since they lost their valyrian swords while House Tully never had them so this will give them some more legitimacy.

Haggle an increase in taxes for a few years to sooth their pride too.

I'll use magic to rebuild and reinforce OldStones while building more houses for the Inbetweeners that will portal their way here.

That would have been a good plan if I did not have to bow my head to these weaklings and I already have a liege.

No. My plan was simple. There is an Isle that no one truly controls and still carries enough magic and mystery within it.

I would take control of the Isle of Faces. Build a castle and a decent sized settlement within the land and most importantly completely block the sight of all greenseers and seers upon the land. The Weirwoods will remain but lose their ability to let others connect and see through their network.

It will take time. Years even with magic but I will get it done and then open a portal to Liurna to welcome my people here. My liege might decide to invade but truthfully there is nothing of worth in this land full of unwashed peasants.

The Red Keep

After the hysterics finally calmed down from such blatant and heretical use of magic. Long thought to be gone from the world with the death of dragons but evidently not so from the actions of the foreign knight.

Pure might. Magic brought everyone here to their knees. Was this how Targareyans were before they lost their dragons… what a pity thought Rhaegar as he continued watching the King and other noblemen question the Dornish and even accuse them of treason for bringing a sorcerer of such power near the king.

We almost lost King Aerys. What a pity… he should have swung the blade that way he can ascend to his destiny easily but alas it's up to him to pry his father off the throne himself.

Aerys seems to have a penchant for staying alive. He fought and survived a Blackfyre rebellion, he survived Duskendale even with his correspondence with Lord Darklyn assuring him that he would survive only if he killed him.

That was a lie obviously. An example will need to be made and loose ends cut off to preserve their right to rule.

Since magic has returned that can only mean he was on the right path all along. Now all he needs are dragons.

"Prince Rhaegar…" asked Jon Connington as he shivered abit still having reactions to the feat of magic we witnessed.

"Yes,Jon?" he answered in a low tone to reduce the chances of their words being heard.

"What should we do about the Knight of the West?" he asked

Yes… what should they do about the knight.

What can the do really.

"I don't know, my friend. I don't know."

Note: Magic hasn't fully returned. The westerosi are just coming into contact with true magic for the first time in a long time. Magic will only truly return with the red comet. Our MC is just strong enough that even with the diminished magic he is still a powerhouse even on par with those from the Age of Heroes.
