Chapter 104 - Chapter 103 Endeavor.

Inazuma went to find Endeavor standing outside, silently waiting for him. But he could see that Endeavor looked completely different. Then, looking at a figure in the distance, Inazuma froze for a moment before quickly recovering. It was Rei Todoroki, and she seemed somewhat recovered from the trauma that had kept her confined in that asylum room.

After the U.A. festival, Todoroki had consulted him about the issues with his family, and Inazuma had advised him to meet his mother instead of avoiding her. Before returning from the parallel timeline, he had asked the Rei Todoroki of the canon timeline to create a video to help the Rei Todoroki of his own timeline break free from the shell of trauma that trapped her. The canon Rei was happy to oblige and said she had added information that could help save Dabi this time, as long as he was defeated one way or another.

Inazuma had made sure to send her that information directly to the asylum, along with the videos he had given to Endeavor that contained a detailed report written by Endeavor of the cannon time line personally so as to help the Endeavor of timeline who still had enough time to correct the mistakes he had done. Since those videos were private, he ensured that only Rei Todoroki would watch them alone. Even he himself didn't know the content of those videos. But the fact that the woman now stood at a noticeable distance while Endeavor was here meant she had reconciled with him in one way or another.

"First of all, thank you for what you've done for Rei," Endeavor began. Unlike the usual high-intensity tone they used with each other, this time he was completely calm. He even seemed like a new person as if the weight on his shoulders has been reduced by a lot.

"It's alright. I was in a situation where I had access to the maximum amount of information to improve this reality using the knowledge I gained from the future. So, I used the opportunity as best I could," I replied, and I meant every word.

"The committee promised me the position of the No. 1 Hero if I spoke out against giving you a lenient punishment and insisted that you be placed under the control of high-ranking government officials," Endeavor said, a small smile forming at the corner of his mouth.

Inazuma was stunned.

"Are you serious?" he asked, shaking as he tried to hold back laughter.

"Trust me, even I never imagined their idiocy could reach this level," Endeavor replied. "Even if you hadn't brought future information about my family, choosing a path where I had to stand against you for the wrong reasons just doesn't sit right with me."

"And how did they react after the meeting?"

"They tried to strong-arm me, but one straight look from me was more than enough to make them stutter and back off. The chances of them still giving me the No. 1 Hero position are very high, as there's no one else on the hero list they can rely on. The No. 1 Hero should be the strongest among them, and aside from you, I'm still recognized as the strongest," Endeavor explained.

"That seems like the smartest move. They already know they pissed me off with what they were trying to do, and further angering the next strongest hero would be foolish. The ones clearly in charge can't afford to make stupid choices anymore," Inazuma concluded.

There was a comfortable silence for a few seconds before Inazuma asked a question.

"The choice I made to kill off the Liberation Army executives—what do you think about it?"

Endeavor looked serious for a few seconds.

"Officially, as a hero and a role model for the younger generation, I can't support your action of carrying out capital punishment. It sets a dangerous precedent where mob mentality could force heroes to act against those who are simply misunderstood, potentially leading to the deaths of many who don't deserve it," Endeavor said gravely. He continued, "But personally, with the knowledge of that distorted future—unless it's Touya—I wouldn't hesitate. If you had told me everything last night, I would've joined you in making sure they all died without any chance of coming back."

There was silence for a few moments. Then Endeavor sighed and spoke again.

"What I really wanted to talk about is to thank you for everything you've done. Making sure Touya and the others are recorded as dead in official records will help ensure they're dealt with safely outside the law."

"The main members of the League of Villains were mostly people who had suffered deeply. And the only way they thought they could fight back was through violence against everything that opposed them. All For One made sure to manipulate them into standing against the heroes and society. And if you look closely, most of them were actually children—the oldest being 21, if you don't count Kurogiri, who's a cybernetic Nomu."

"The message from the future Endeavor also included him telling me how the family had suffered so much that it remained broken, even after we managed to save Touya in the end." He looked toward Rei Todoroki in the distance and continued, "Right now, I have enough time to make sure that doesn't happen in my timeline. That's something I can never repay, even if I dedicate my whole life to it."

He then turned to Inazuma.

"All I can say now is thank you. And if you ever need anything from me, don't hesitate. I'll do my best to fulfil it," Endeavor said as he walked toward his wife.

Inazuma saw Rei Todoroki bow to him from a distance, then watched them get into a car.

"Family... huh," Inazuma muttered as he gazed toward the parking lot and saw Eri and Clara waiting for him. He smiled.

"Well, it looks like it's time for me to go back to mine."
