Chapter 41 - Extra: Zeldas Adventure (1/2)

Before I start, I ask you all again to please comment any alternative name you can ome up for the Master Sword.

Vexalia hell and back to get to this point in her journey, and now she's finally at the point where she'll find Zelda again, but speaking of, surely she has also had to deal with tons of trouble right?Well lets see how it went.

Back to Chapter 4.

After the Wing Ceremony, Zelda and Vexalia went for a ride on their loftwings to celebrate the latters victory, but at one point the wind started picking up.

Their loftwings started having trouble flying in a straight line, so they decided to go back for now, but before they could, they ran into the cause of the wind.

A hurricane, much darker than any other they ever saw, seemed to almost go towards them, and it brought with it a ton of debris, which ended up hitting both of them throwing them off their birds.

Vexalia was recovered, but Zelda? She woke up in an unfamiliar place, "What the- where-!" She was wondering outloud, before the memory came back to her, "...I fell from... Is this... The world below the clouds?" She said in bewilderment and awe.

The sight of such a legendary place was overwhelming, much more than what any story conveyed, so much in fact that it made Zelda completely unaware of the monsters sneaking up on her, but she quickly noticed as they let out a war cry.

"Woah! S-stay back!" She warned, taking a few steps back from the monsters, only to quickly sprint away to make distance, until she ended up finding a pretty solid looking branch and got reminded of the lessons she overheard.

Grabbing the stick, she got into a basic fighting stance and began striking at the monsters, not dealing much damage, but it did make them hesitate to get closer, up until one managed to hit the stick in a way that it broke.

Now unarmed, Zelda could only look as the monsters got ready to resume their attack, but before they could, they were suddenly struck down by a girl, "You're Zelda, correct?" She asked calmly, "...Y-yes..." Zelda said, surprised at how quick that was.

"I'm Impa." The girl introduced herself, "Listen, you ended up here before the right time." She informed, "...What do you mean...?" Zelda asked in confusion, "I'm sure you know the 'legends', and how Skyloft ended up in the sky." Impa subtly hinted as she made a follow me motion with her hand.

Following after Impa, Zelda looked around the forest, still awestruck by the sight, "I... Do know the legends... But if they're real... Why me?" She questioned, "You have been around the Mighty Aberration for so long that you were chosen as the Vessel of Purification." Impa explained.

Hearing 'Mighty Aberration' made Zelda immediately think of someone, "You mean Vexalia?" She deduced, "So she did pick that name..." Impa said in amusement, "Well the name isn't important, she along with you are destined to seal away the Harbringer of Demise for good." Impa informed, causing Zeldas eyes to widen.

After a while of walking, the two ended up in front of a house that seemed long abandoned, "Is... This where you live?" Zelda asked, not wanting to sound rude, "I just decided to stay here while awating your arrival." Impa corrected while opening the door, "I-!" Zelda stopped when she saw the inside.

The walls were adorned with a variety of weapons, much more vast than anything she saw on Skyloft, "Impressed? I'm a part of the Sheikah tribe, meaning I have experience with a lot of weapons." Impa explained, "But as for why I brought you here? It's to give you something to defend yourself." She added.

Later (Chapter 5.)

It took a while for Zelda to get aquainted with the weapons she chose, a rope dart and a meteor hammer, in the time it took, she managed to poke a few holes into herself from some miscalculated swings, but afte she learned the basics, she managed to use both well.

"That was... Really fast actually..." Impa complimented, "It isn't easy to master the rope dart, much less the meteor hammer." She informed with a smile, "Does that mean we're good to go?" Zelda asked while rubbing a bandaged wound she gave herself, "Yes we're good to go." Impa confirmed, but not before looking up for something.

Zelda looked up too and saw someone falling from the sky, "I-is that?" She asked, "It is, but we shouldn't wait, we need to hurry." Impa informed, grabbing Zeldas hand and pulled her along, "What? Why!?" Zelda questioned in response, "She has her own journey to go through." Impa elaborated.

As they walked, Zelda kept practicing with the rope dart, "Be careful, you'll poke an eye out, either mine or yours..." Impa warned, stepping away a bit, "That's what I'm practicing to avoid." Zelda pointed out.

With a swing, Zelda accidentally stabbed the dart into a tree, "Oh yes, that's something it can do." Impa remembered, "Okay..." Zelda responded before giving the rope a tug, accidentally pulling the tree from the ground, leaving both her and Impa speechless.

"Your power... You can already do something like this... And the Mighty Aberration is supposed to be much stronger..." Impa contemplated, a bit concerned, "W-wait, I'm going to get stronger?" Zelda asked, but then heard someone laugh in amusement.

Both girls turned towards the laugh, where they saw a completely white skinned guy standing there, "It appears I did feel an odd power coming from over here~" He said in amusement, "Ghirahim? I thought you'd be gone without your master..." Impa said in irritation, "He's only sealed away you foolish human." He reminded with a smirk.

Ghirahim began walking towards the two, forming two swords in his hands, "But the Vessel of Purification is here... With your power I'll be able to remove the seal!" He proclaimed, dashing at Zelda, who managed to move out of the way before being hit, leaving Ghirahim open for a kick from Impa.

The kick sent Ghirahim rolling away, but he managed to get back up, "You thorn in my side!" He lamented, dashing at Impa with a sword reeled back, but this gave Impa a clear opening for an attack, however Ghirahim had that planned and used this to jump over Impa and ready to strike at Zelda.

"No! No!" Zelda repeated in a panic, unfurling her meteor hammer and swang it to hit Ghirahim in the face, causing his attack to deviate slightly, but too little, causing it to land straight on Zeldas arm, severing it, "AAAAAHHHH!!" She screamed in pain, seeing the blood pour from the open wound.

"Damnit!" Impa exclaimed at her own carelesness, "At least I managed to do something." Ghirahim boasted, only to be met by a blast of white light coming from Zelda's remaining hand which caused him to be purged from that location and forced to teleport away.

With the threat gone, Impa rushed to Zelda's side, "Are you okay!?" She exclaimed in concern. "Y-yes I- m-mostly..." Zelda replied as Impa did her best to tie a rope around the stump, "We'll have to take a detour... Can you use that power again?" Impa asked, prompting Zelda to try and manage to make at least a small ball of light that Impa manipulated to open a portal.

Bringing Zelda through the portal, they found themselves in a volcanic area, "Bite onto this." Impa instructed, putting a belt strap in Zeldas mouth as Impa moved her blade near the lava, heating it up, and then used it to cauterize the wound.

"Okay... That should help..." Impa reassured, "It hurts still..." Zelda lamented, placing a hand on the cauterized spot, but let go when she felt the pain, "Don't touch it." Impa scolded, "I'll go look for something that should help, in the meantime try to... Get used to this." Impa instructed before leaving.

Once alone, Zelda looked at the damage on her arm and thought about the fact Vexalia also had a journey to go through, "She'll also go through this... I can't just do nothing... I need to get stronger if I want to make it through." She told herself as she stood up, trying her best to ignore the pain.

On her feet, Zelda grabbed her meteor hammer and began training, and she'll keep on it until Impa returns.
