It was unknown what kept the blast radius of the three nuclear missiles limited to Greater Grail's vicinity, but Fuyuki City survived Enkidu's first attack.

Mt. Enzo and the nearest hills to it weren't so lucky.

Everything seemed to have shredded into the tiniest pieces where the mountain had been, including the Ryuudou Temple. A humongous mushroom cloud was rising higher and higher toward the sky, as if daring itself to reach the Space. The space burned beneath it, unnatural flames roaring and crackling over scorched grounds.

And a vast hole had opened up in the earth, because of the point of origin of the blast.

With some unknown confidence, Enkidu had not only struck fast, but he had struck heavy.

Ordinarily, such an attack could instantly end the tale of any Heroic Spirit. But neither the times nor the Masters and their Servants were ordinary anymore.

Reality distorted.

The raging fire suddenly shattered.

"Hahaha!" Laughing like a maniac, Gilgamesh walked out. "Now that's how one must greet a friend!"

Gilgamesh had lost the top half of his armor, showing his bare chest. In his right hand, he wielded Ea, the sword letting out an eerie red glow.

In front of him, on one side of the gigantic mushroom cloud, hovered Enkidu like an ant.

Then, saying nothing, the Ruler-Class turned around and boomed toward space.

Grinning ear to ear, Gilgamesh shot up as well, forgetting all the mongrels.

And their departure marked the true beginning of this War.

ROARRRRRRRRRRRR!!!

All the fire from miles, and ash from the mushroom cloud, suddenly gathered on top of the Staff of Ainz, becoming a hundred-meter-tall, armored, wolf-like fiery being.

Primal Fire Elemental!

At the same time, a cyclone of unprecedented scale took form in the sky. Everything darkened, and sheets of rain pelted the earth, roaring winds flattening the scorched ruins. Two massive, green eyes opened up in the sky, half the endless storm becoming hands.

Primal Wind Elemental!

Then, led by the Staff, the two Elementals fell…

The Staff of Ainz didn't need any instruction from the Overlord himself, and it could act independently, taking advantage of situations and searching for vulnerabilities.

And Ainz couldn't have used it, to begin with.

Because, right now, he was busy surviving against an unhinged Heroic Spirit.

Deep into the blackened hole left behind Enkidu's attack, a vast field had opened up.

It was like a titanic being had taken out a half-spherical scoop of the earth, leaving craters, crevices, and glossy sand.

On that burnt ground stood Ainz Ooal Gown, eying Rider.

"It was you…" Medusa hissed, shaking. "If it wasn't for you… Sakura would have…"

The Breaker Gorgon, Medusa's blindfold, sealing her Mystic Eyes under a Bounded Field Noble Phantasm… disintegrated.

Purple bolts of light crackled in Rider's surroundings, two long needles appearing in her hands.

She crouched, and her thighs bulged before, with a burst, her eyes opened.

Mystic Eyes of Petrification — Cybele!

Boooooooooooooom!

Medusa shot forward toward the Lich as a stony layer began appearing over his bones.

On the other hand, seeing the mad woman making him her target, Ainz frowned, backing up. "High Tier Magic Immunity III! High Tier Physical Immunity III! Slashing Damage Resistance V! Piercing Damage Resistance V! …"

And on and on, the Overlord began chanting, preparing for the cruel battle.

Not far from them, booming sounds rang out as another battle rocked the world.

Shirou, wielding Kanshou and Bakuya, and Black with Azoth Sword were attacking Kirei Kotomine. Yet, despite going two against one, the Priest was somehow gaining the upper hand.

Carrying two Black Keys and covered in black, cursed tendrils, Kirei laughed. "Haha… You made me remember the old days…"

Suddenly, a black, red wraith shot past the three of them, raising dust.

Archer and Saber traced a curved path around the three Masters, chasing the wraith.

Above, Medea hovered, blood dripping from her shoulder. Looking at that blood and grinding her teeth, she let out a humph. A hundred spell circles boomed into existence around her, aimed at the wraith.

With a hissing sound, the spell circles fired thick beams of Mana, all homing onto the wraith.

Sensing the attacks, the blurry, black-red wraith stopped, skidding on the scorched earth.

And, for the first time, it revealed its true appearance to its enemies.

Black-blue armor covered in red, vein-like cracks. Cursed, red eyes. An evil grin. And wielding the nastiest Noble Phantasm — Gáe Bolg.

It was Lancer Alter!

As Caster's attack reached him, Lancer Alter thrust the lance at them so fast that not even Archer and Saber saw its trajectory.

Each thrust landed on a Mana beam, annihilating it.

In a fraction of a second, Lancer Alter ended the last thrust, flicked Gáe Bolg over his shoulder, and grinned at the Heroic Spirits. "That's all?!" he mocked. "Three against one… and still you can't touch me?! How did that fool end up dying against you sorry fools, I wonder… Haha!"

"Haaaaaaa!" Saber let out a shout, charging at Lancer. "You dare mock his legacy! You evil creature…"

Archer, remembering a dying Lancer in Berserker's arm, frowned as well, taking out his bow.

Medea was much direct, creating a Mansion-sized ball of fire at the tip of her finger, raising her hand.

And suddenly, just as Lancer Alter prepared himself for another round, they descended.

Medea's fire abandoned her, as the dozens of meters tall, Primal Fire Elemental… took a deep breath. It came to stand next to the evil Heroic Spirit, growling like a beast, melting the stone under it.

On the other side, the Primal Air Elemental took the shape of a similar-sized creature made of roaring winds, with two green eyes glowing on its head. One look at Saber and the wind surrounding her sword abandoned her as well, leaving an invisible sword in her hand.

"… Now…" Lancer Alter cackled, licking his lips. "… who will be facing me?"

A chill ran down Archer, Saber, and Medea's spines.

This Lancer was as strong as Saber Alter, if not stronger.

The only good thing was that Berserker had already taken that cursed woman to his Reality Marble. Now they would just have to…

That unlucky thought never reached completion.

With a shattering BOOM, a red-black beam of Mana tore the reality…

… shredding Berserker and his puny Reality Marble alike to pieces.
