Chapter 946 - Parting Ways - White Serpent Pirates on Missions! (II)

Can I use Crest Worms to prolong the life of Artificial Magic Circuits in the undead?

This was the question Black had asked Medea when Kai had been assimilating Zouken Matou's Inheritance in the Einzbern Castle.

Even then, Kai had grand plans when it came to the twisted Inheritance.

The single greatest thing about the Crest Worms was that they were Mana-eating worms and could channel magical energy even when their host was no longer alive.

They expanded the existing Magic Circuits by a repeated process of eating Mana that made the body produce even more Mana, simultaneously acting as a set of artificial Magic Circuits after a certain incubation period was completed.

If Kai were to implant them within undead Pokemon, after Tina had created faux Magic Circuits within them, then, theoretically, they could enhance their Mana, without losing their existence. Not only that, but, as he could also control a lifeform infested with Crest Worms like a puppet, his hold over them would increase even more.

Combined with Tina's Touko Aozaki Inheritance related to puppetry, Kai could create a force of undead never seen before.

And, for that reason, he needed to keep Tina close.

Of course, to make her understand the nature of Crest Worms better, he would need to incubate her with them first…

Nothing better than a first-hand experience, Black thought, holding back a smirk.

"Familiarize yourself with the Xenomorphs," he said, instead. "Your Source has just changed to a Xenomorph-Android. I need to study the process better. I am sure Mayuri and Orochimaru would like to take a look at you as well."

Tina nodded. "Yes, Grandmaster," she smiled eagerly. "But where will I stay…"

It was obvious that the Order of the Immortal Lotus was onto them, now. Even if they hadn't related Darcie to Yellow Warlock directly, it would be impossible to get another Magical Suitcase anytime soon.

"I never said you would stay in this timeline," Black corrected himself. "You just cannot go on your Set Ascension Mission."

Things weren't the same when Kai had reincarnated in the timeline.

At first, Kai could only assign Side Missions to his Party Members. The same Party Members could also join him through the Primordial Tower, where Chaos would assign them Main Missions.

That's how Meg, Red Sun, Moraine, and Spawn had arrived in the Harry Potter timeline, to begin with.

However, after Set Assimilation, the same wasn't true anymore.

Now, not only Side Missions, but Kai could also assign them Main Missions, as long as they would remain within their Sets after the completion of that Mission.

He had already tried it out, sending Tina, Meg, Red Sun, and Moraine on various Missions.

Unless they failed to meet their Kill Quota of a particular Floor, they wouldn't even return to the Tower.

However, after confirming all this with Chaos, Kai had found out that the Party Members would still end up going to the Tower if they ascended their Sets.

Tina had first arrived in the timeline as Hermione Granger's Protector.

That was her Floor Ascension Mission at that time, with her being a Top-level 8th Floor Contestant.

By adding her to his Party and under his authority as the Supreme Protector, Kai practically made her entire Main Mission void. That's how he was able to assign her another Main Mission in the MonsterVerse Bubble, letting her become a 9th Floor Contestant.

He refused to let his prized experiment return to the Tower without his presence there, though.

"You will be going to the Fate timeline," Black said, opening a portal. "The same one where I had gone to. Find Medea. She knows what to do with you."

It wouldn't be Tina's first time visiting a Fate timeline.

Yet, seeing the blue vortex, she hesitated, a primal fear boiling in her heart.

Sighing, Tina got up, bowed to her Master, and rushed toward the teleportation vortex before His Majesty could pick up on her hesitation.

The moment she disappeared, with a flick of his hand, Black sent all the undead into the vortex as well.

Then, he looked at Red Sun.

"I have a feeling," Black said, looking at the 11th-Floor Contestant. "If you didn't join the Billion Club in the 12th Floor, then… You will die."

Red Sun blankly stared back at Black. "… Can't you just spread rumors about me?"

Meg and Moraine almost slapped Red Sun, Spawn shaking her head.

Even Black's brows rose. "… Believe me when I say it," he said, grinning vilely, "you don't want me to gossip about you."

Like Tina, Red Sun experienced the same primal fear when he heard that particular world.

It was like the next time he asked Black to spread humors, he would become the unluckiest man in the entire Multiverse.

Gulping, as if needles were stuck in his throat, Red Sun nodded. "I want to go to Pokemon Bubble…" he said.

Black tapped on the arm of the stony throne, ruminating. "Hmm…" he nodded, finishing calculations. "Alright. While you are there, I have another task for you, too. You will know after reaching there."

A blue vortex appeared, leading to a Pokemon Bubble's Mirror timeline.

Red Sun stood up and, just as he was about to head toward the teleportation vortex, stopped, looking at Moraine. "Can you press your breasts against me?" he asked. "For good luck…"

Boom!

As Red Sun disappeared, Moraine harrumphed, feeling the numb knuckles.

Then, she faced Black and found him looking back at her. "Demon Slayer," she said. "Not Verse Fusion, but… proper Demon Slayer."

Black nodded, opening a channel to a Demon Slayer timeline.

Moraine was different from Kai when it came to the Demon Slayer Standalone Title. She would never achieve the same Bankai as the Demon Slayers from his Verse Fusion had. So, if she wanted to improve her swordplay, she needed what suited her the best, not Kai.

But just as she was about to enter the vortex, Black said, "Leave behind your Iron Man armor."

Meg's head snapped toward Black.

Moraine's entire body shook as well.

Grinding her teeth, and as her knuckles went white, she dumped her modified Iron Man armor and vanished into the portal.

Black looked at Meg. "Worried?"

Morning Mist shook her head. "She knew she was becoming over-reliant on the armor," she said. "It's just… she might actually die without it…"

Black shrugged and looked at Spawn. "I am sending you to my God of High School timeline," he said. "You have enough strength, but it means nothing if you cannot use it. Jin Taejin will hook you up with some good fighters…"

Spawn nodded, stepping inside the teleportation vortex in silence.

Black and Meg looked at each other.

"What will he do?" she asked.

Black smiled. This was the first time Meg had asked for Kai in front of Black, knowing well that Kai was Black and Black was Kai.

"Kill," Black replied.

"How many?" she asked.

"There are four remaining," he answered.

"I…" Meg looked into the black storm raging within Black's eyes. "I want a Main Mission to kill one of them."

Black slowly stood up, walked up to Morning Mist, and held her chin. "Beautiful as always… Meg."
