Chapter 203 - Woodworking

Chapter 203 Woodworking

The children in the room were surprised and startled when they saw Lucia walk in with planks of wood floating behind her. Little did they know, they were in for an experience. Lucia began to shape the wood into tables and chairs. The children watched in amazement as pieces of wood were whittled away and floated in the air. They witnessed an incredible display of craftsmanship as Lucia crafted chairs, tables, and desks right before their eyes.

"Wow, that's amazing! How do you do that?" a few kids whispered, captivated.

Lucia seemed to overhear their question and answered plainly, "The way I do it might not work for you, but it works for me. I think hard about what I want, and if I have the right materials in front of me, I can shape them into what I envision in a broad sense. However, if I want to create something more detailed, I have to take a more hands-on approach with tools and the like."

The children were fascinated by what she said as they watched the incredible process of furniture being shaped and reformed right before their eyes. Not wanting to leave any of their friends out, one of the kids in the group quietly slipped out of the room to invite more children to watch Lucia create her woodwork without any tools. He gathered those who were interested in woodworking and blacksmithing.

When the kid invited those who might be interested to see the display, they were initially hesitant, thinking his descriptions were just his imagination. However, after his persistent insistence, they eventually agreed to accompany him to watch Lucia at work.

They were all surprised and gazed in awe at the spectacle before them. Wood transformed and took on distinctive shapes without any visible tools to chisel them into shape as if they were re-forming out of thin air. They tried to understand what they were witnessing, debating inwardly that what they saw was impossible.

As Lucia continued to make more furniture, the children chatted among themselves. Over time, the room became increasingly crowded as more kids joined in, most of whom had just woken up. When they checked to see what was happening, they were just as surprised as everyone else and thought they were still asleep, dreaming.

The usually unused room became a major attraction that day as Lucia's woodworking gained popularity. Due to the increased foot traffic, the children who had helped set up the space took the opportunity to share information about Lucia's plans for the room with everyone.
