Chapter 241 - Harvester Neil

Chapter 241 Harvester Neil

"Yes, that's right. Though it would be better if you learned now rather than later if you're going to take that route," Daniel advised.

A little while later, one of Linda's associates approached, carrying a long, curving sword hoisted on his shoulder. Upon seeing the monsters on the table, he said aloud, "So you're the folks who brought in some monsters that got Linda all worked up, huh. My name is Neil. I'm one of the harvesters here." He tipped his head toward his blade as he spoke.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Neil. I'm Aleshia," she said, introducing herself.

"Oh, what a nice girl," Neil complimented. "You're one lucky guy, Daniel, to have someone like her around." He winked at Daniel before examining the monsters spread out on the table.

After assessing the situation, he set the monsters a short distance apart before starting to carve into the mid-sized Kobold. Just before he made the first cut, he warned, "If you're not comfortable with blood or gore, I suggest you step back or look away."

"No, that's alright; I've seen lots of blood up close," Aleshia said, recounting her other life.

Neil began trimming the creature, carefully removing the fur to reveal the skin. His blade barely grazed the skin while stripping away all the fur. After that, he began carving into the monster parts with relatively small incisions. He removed the organs and other things from the monster, placing the guts and stuff aside in a basket. After that, he carefully extracted the crystal that was in the Kobold's body. After evaluating it, he gently laid it in another basket before continuing with his harvesting, retrieving the claws, teeth, and other parts.

Aleshia watched intently from the sidelines as Daniel casually chatted with Neil about various topics. Despite the conversation, Neil remained focused as he harvested parts from the monster. After organizing the bits he had collected from the mid-sized Kobold, he dumped them into several baskets before retrieving the next Kobold, repeating the process. He sorted the fur with the new furs, the crystal with the other crystal, and so on.

Neil finished harvesting the kobolds and walked over to what appeared to be a washbasin to clean his blade. After wetting it and drying it off with a spell of air magic, he returned to the pile and grabbed the horned rabbits.

Aleshia averted her gaze, not wanting to witness the dismemberment of these cute little creatures.
