Chapter 243 Quest Board
"Alright, I understand," Neil conceded. When he saw Aleshia, he came up with a bright idea. "However, I suspect the girl might need a coin bag." He tried to shift it onto her.
"Oh no, that won't be necessary," Aleshia immediately said, attempting to avoid getting involved. She shifted to show her bag to Neil, hoping he would stop trying to hand it off to her.
"Very well," Neil said, retrieving the empty bag. "Is there anything else you need from me? I've already taken my share from the harvesting, so there's no need to pay me."
Daniel seemed to think for a moment before replying, "Thank you, but we won't need any more help until we complete our next quest."
Neil nodded and left. Daniel then went to grab the baskets before he remembered Aleshia's bag. "Would you mind if we used your bag to store these materials until we get to the camp? It would be safer and less likely to attract thieves. It's fine if you disagree," Daniel said, giving Aleshia an option.
Aleshia thought about it for a moment, and since it was no trouble for her, she handed her bag to Daniel. He checked the bag to ensure there was enough space before placing the baskets filled with monster meat inside.
Once all the baskets were secure in the bag, Daniel and Aleshia left the storehouse and returned to the adventurer building. Linda greeted them warmly. "Thank you for your report once again, and Aleshia, Em, please feel free to come by anytime you want," she said with a bright smile.
"Thank you for the warm welcome," Aleshia replied and bowed, Em, following along.
Meanwhile, Daniel approached the quest board and picked out several papers, tearing them off the wall. Aleshia's curiosity drew her in to see what types of quests were available. When she got to the board, she read a few aloud: "Hmm, there are some basilisks, snakes, boars, feline-type monsters, orcs, and goblins."
After getting a sense of the board, Aleshia returned to Daniel's side. He was in the middle of a conversation with Linda about the quests he was requesting. After waiting patiently, they finished their discussion, and Daniel was assigned the quests he wanted. They left the building and stepped out into the bustling streets. They immediately headed in a specific direction and reached a tavern. With the money they had earned, Daniel bought a meal for Aleshia and Em while waiting for Ren to rendezvous with them at the tavern.
