Chapter 250 - Jonah’s Concerns

Chapter 250 Jonah's Concerns

Jonah watched in shock and terror as one of his friends was suddenly hauled back into their cot by a strange, magical force. While he worried about this dangerous, invisible power, his gaze fell upon something he hadn't noticed before: an unusual hat on the head of the girl he had learned was Aleshia. He mistakenly concluded that the hat was the source of that power. Jonah didn't want to get on her bad side; he knew he wouldn't stand a chance against her, especially given how weak he was now. He considered her a threat, but admitted he wasn't able to handle her. With these thoughts racing through his mind, he continued to watch as the invisible force gently laid his friend back into the cot they had left.

It didn't take long for Aleshia to return to Jonah's cot, but he seemed a bit different from the last time they spoke, even though it had only been a short while. She thought he might just be a little worried about his friend, so she tried to reassure him. "The guy we put back is totally okay; he is just a bit worn out after coming back from his slumber, like you were," She stammered and then offered Jonah some water to drink, hoping to distract him.

Jonah slowly drank the water Aleshia had made. After taking his time to finish it, he began to consider her words. His concern came in a flood of questions, "What did you do to him? Is he alright? When will he wake up? Is he unharmed?"

Aleshia allowed Jonah to express all his concerns before addressing them as best as she could. "I didn't do anything to him. I answered his questions just as I have with you. I believe he is alright; I've checked his vital signs, and they are improving. However, I cannot say for certain when he will awaken. Based on previous cases, those who have recovered tend to be unconscious for a few weeks. The timing of someone's return to consciousness can also vary from person to person," Aleshia explained, letting her theory sink in.

After a brief pause, she continued, "Since he has already experienced a short period of wakefulness, it might take him some time to recover before he fully awakens again. He also fell when his body gave out, so I will examine him once more to ensure he hasn't broken or damaged anything. I hope I've addressed your questions."
