Chapter 286 - Skewers and Snacking

Chapter 286 Skewers and Snacking

"Alright, that sounds good, we'll leave that in your hands and come back tomorrow," Brian agreed.

Linda left the storehouse to collect the rewards and returned with several bags, which she placed on the table. Brian tipped the bags over to inspect their contents. Inside, he found one gold coin, several silver coins, and some copper coins. Afterward, he began distributing the money among his party.

While the party was receiving the reward, Kelly had a bright idea and began scheming. Kelly declared, "I think I might buy some better armor and repair the equipment I'm currently using with this money. What do you all plan to do with yours?"

With little hesitation, Brian replied, "I'm going to save some of my money in a safe place for emergencies."

Cecelia was eager to speak next and exclaimed, "I'm going to treat myself to a nice meal with all this cash!" Her eyes sparkled as she envisioned the feast. After reveling in her imagination, she asked, "So, what are you going to buy with your share, Aleshia?"

Aleshia replied, "I was thinking of restocking my food supply and maybe getting some armor while I'm out exploring the area."

"Oh, that's a great idea!" Kelly exclaimed, eagerly seizing the opportunity to invite herself along on Aleshia's outing. "Maybe I can join you! I know the best blacksmith in town, and I can show you where he is. I can vouch for him as he is the only one I trust to sharpen and repair the sword my swordmaster gave me," Kelly said.

Aleshia replied, "Sure, why not? While we are out, why don't we grab some food from a restaurant and bring it back to the camp after we eat?"

"I think that would be a fine idea," Brian agreed.

The party left the guild and walked through the streets in search of food. They passed several street stalls that caught the attention of the food lover among them. Cecelia began purchasing various foods with her reward money and started munching on her snacks. Her enthusiasm encouraged the others to join in, and soon they were all enjoying skewers and other treats.

However, by the time they reached a restaurant, they realized they were already too full to eat more. Instead of dining out, they decided to buy a variety of meat skewers to take back to camp for the children.

"I'm betting the children will be so excited to eat meat this delicious," Cecelia said, wiping drool from her chin as she struggled to resist temptation.
