Chapter 304 - Relaying a Message

Chapter 304 Relaying a Message

Once the group had time to catch their breath, they discreetly checked behind them to see if anyone was following them. "I think we're safe for now. Let's head back to the guild and meet up with Brian," Kelly suggested.

On the way to the guild, Aleshia began to reflect on the events, taking the time to think and speculate to the group. "I'm not sure if that monster will come after us, but it could cause considerable destruction in the future if the circus continues to show it during their acts. I think we should avoid that area and any locations where the circus plans to perform. I think it would be best to inform the others in our camp about this."

Cecelia, Kelly, and Stella all nodded, understanding the seriousness of the matter, having arrived at similar conclusions. The group entered the guild and took a seat at a table. Once everyone was seated, Kelly proposed their plans while they waited for Brian to return. "Let's wait here for Brian to come back and give him the information we learned. He will be able to relay our message to Daniel, who has the power and authority to notify and warn the other camps."

After some time passed, Brian arrived at the guild. When the doors opened, he walked in and scanned the room. Eventually, his gaze landed on his party, and he quickly approached them. "So, has anyone picked on you four?" Brian joked.

"Nope, but we did go on a little adventure," Kelly informed.

"Oho? Care to tell me about it?" Brian replied, clearly intrigued.

Kelly noticed Cecelia's demeanor, her body language clear as day. Kelly met her gaze and nodded, encouraging her.

Cecelia looked serious as she spoke to Brian, but her voice was a rapid flurry of excitement as she explained what happened, almost all in one breath. "Alright, let me tell you the story. We went to the town square and watched some performers, but that wasn't where we were intending to be. When we finally reached the place we wanted to go, we got to wear beautiful masks, but we had to leave them behind in a hurry. There was a strange creature in a cage that looked scaly and somewhat humanoid, but it was gone after we left our seats, or at least we think it was. As we neared the exit, we heard a horrid noise. We didn't get to see what happened because we ran out of that place," Cecelia exclaimed breathlessly.

"That's a lot to take in and a lot of conjecture," Brian said with surprise. One of the receptionists at the nearest counter had hurried away, seemingly having overheard what she said.
