Chapter 37 - Thoughts

'Mm, the food is so yummy although it's only soup,' Lydia thought as she chewed on a tender chicken piece with closed eyes and a warm smile.

She looked peaceful, but inside, she was partying hard.

'Muahahahaha, thank you Sir Josue for indirectly helping me.'

'The tears and the pain in my ankle were all worth it.'

'I'll forgive you later, but I hope you still get reprimanded.' 

'If not, I'll make sure to scare you someday.'

'Muahahahaha.'

'Oh my, at this rate, the soup will get cold.'

Lydia opened her eyes and took in the soup's scent before exhaling.

'Wonderful…'

'Since the chamberlain said he would not just warn, but also ensure any disrespect or harm towards me would be met with the severest consequences, I do not have to worry much about being mistreated by the maids and soldiers.'

'However, I'm not sure how well he'll implement that and if the people here would abide.'
