Chapter 73 - His Day

His hair was partly wet, but he looked fresh, making it clear he had just bathed. 

'He's already back. I guess it took me a long time to eat and practice putting the big bowl back in the inventory slot.'

Lydia set the tray down and stood properly. 'What should I say?'

'Can I just pretend I did not see him?'

'But he's walking towards me…'

'What does he want?' 

Qhah-el stopped a meter away from her.

Then he looked at the tray on the table. 

"You've eaten…" he muttered before looking her in the eye. 

"I was famished, so I ordered the maids to bring me some snacks," she said as she unconsciously avoided his gaze. 

When she realized she was no longer looking at him, she quickly looked in his direction. 

"Are you still interested in eating with us?" he asked, making her tense up.

'What does he mean by that?' 

'Is he saying I shouldn't have eaten anything and just waited for them? Or did he ask because I might be full already?' 

Lydia scanned his face.
