"My brain is perfectly fine, can you let me in first?"
Ye Ling was still standing at the door, looking somewhat at a loss.
"It's so late, it's not appropriate for you to come into my room. If my boyfriend finds out, he'll be mad."
Even though Ye Xiao wasn't one to care too much, she did have a boyfriend now. It wasn't like her to casually let other men into her room this late.
"He won't know, it'll be fine."
Ye Ling said, looking nervous.
"Are you really here to pick a fight with me?"
Ye Xiao felt there was something off about Ye Ling. Why would he come to her room in the middle of the night to fight? Couldn't it be during the day?
"Yeah."
Ye Ling nodded, blushing.
"Was it those old men who sent you?"
Seeing Ye Ling's expression, Ye Xiao seemed to have guessed something.
"No, I came on my own."
Ye Ling quickly denied it.
Ye Xiao noticed that Ye Ling had blatantly paused when he heard her words earlier, clearly lying. It seemed that those old men were up to something.
