Nanling Bully lowered his voice. "Young Master Ning, may I have a word in private?"
Several women stood behind Ning Xuan, most of whom looked to be in their teens. Having to ask for help in front of them, Nanling Bully found it hard to swallow his pride.
Ning Xuan wasn't about to consider his feelings. "Just say it here. They aren't outsiders."
Nanling Bully had no choice but to awkwardly confess the mess he had made. After he finished, he asked Ning Xuan, "Could Young Master Ning think of a way to help me out?"
As he spoke, he glanced at Wu Pianpian. She was from the Bi Luo Palace; perhaps she had the item he needed. He was at his wit's end, willing to try anything. But as luck would have it, he had found the right person.
"You've come to the right place. I happen to have exactly what you need!"
With that, Wu Pianpian brandished the item she had already prepared under Ning Xuan's instruction.
Nanling Bully was overjoyed.
