On the long street, cries of alarm echoed everywhere. Many bipedal beasts wished they had more than two legs; some even reverted to their ancestral state, scampering away on all fours! This was all because they had seen Ning Xuan and Zhongli Ruoruo.
"Why do they run when they see us?" Zhongli Ruoruo asked. Though she had a guess, she found it hard to believe.
"It's confirmed. The reason the old turtle's mansion is empty is because of us," Ning Xuan sighed.
That old turtle is such a spineless coward! All I did was eat some lobster and have a barbecue. Was all this fuss necessary? Looks like my craving for turtle soup will have to wait.
"Ah, it's not us, Young Master! It's because of you!" Zhongli Ruoruo immediately corrected him.
I'm just a follower. Without the Young Master, forget about enjoying fine food; I'd still be at the mercy of these bipedal beasts!
