The M17 pistol, fitted with a suppressor, unleashed dreadful power under the enhancement of peak human physique and Firearms Mastery. The two Wild Wolf Gang members guarding the small workshop exterior had no chance to resist; with a few discreet gunshots, they collapsed into pools of blood.
"System, remember to save these people's souls."
According to the Demon Hunting System records, souls in this world dissipate extremely quickly after human death. Given that human souls have many uses, Chu Feng naturally wouldn't waste them.
"System command received. Human souls (x2) saved."
Under the cover of night, Chu Feng's figure moved like a ghost, silently entering the workshop's interior.
"Hurry up, the junkies in New York are all waiting for our stuff!"
Inside the workshop, a burly black man, evidently the leader, was directing seven or eight minions to pack a pile of white powder into small individual bags. Just as they were all busily working, the lights in the workshop suddenly went out! Immediately after, a series of faint gunshots turned into death knells, and the Wild Wolf Gang members inside the workshop fell one by one to Chu Feng's gun.
After this Spiritual Power awakening, the accompanying Inspiration abilities truly are powerful! Ordinary humans without Spiritual Power are completely exposed within my range of Inspiration. Chu Feng marveled at the strength of Inspiration, yet his gun did not cease firing. Although a few Wild Wolf Gang members reacted in time, spurred by the death wails of their companions, they immediately dropped to the ground, drew pistols from their waists, and began firing back wildly. However, they could never locate their enemy's true position. After several rounds of Chu Feng's maneuvering, all Wild Wolf Gang members present died at the M17's muzzle.
After confirming the deaths of all members within the Wild Wolf Gang stronghold, Chu Feng finally revealed himself and flipped the main power switch he had previously thrown, turning the lights back on. Ignoring the pile of white powdered substance on the table, Chu Feng turned and entered a small room located behind the workshop.
"Just as expected, it's here!"
After a careful search of the small room, a small safe and a briefcase stuffed with US Dollars went directly into Chu Feng's system Storage Space. Inside the briefcase, there were about two hundred thousand US Dollars in green bills. As for the key to the safe, Chu Feng found it on the body of the burly black man who looked like the leader.
Upon opening the safe, a collection of various types of jewelry appeared before Chu Feng's eyes. Judging by their lavish exteriors, they all seemed to be of significant value. Who knows where the Wild Wolf Gang got them! After stuffing all the jewelry into the Storage Space, a black ram's head badge at the very back of the safe caught Chu Feng's attention.
Spiritual Power fluctuations? Chu Feng's brow furrowed slightly. This somewhat ugly ram's head badge was emanating an incredibly unsettling wave of Spiritual Power. He meticulously recalled the related records in the Demon Hunting System. Evil Spirit? Cult? The Demon Hunting System had recorded that items with such displeasing Spiritual Power fluctuations were typically intimately associated with Evil Spirits or Demons that surpassed common spirits, and the style of the badge seemed more like a Cult member's identification.
Not wanting to get entangled with Evil Spirits for the time being, Chu Feng hastily threw the black ram's head badge into the system's Storage Space.
"System, can items within the Storage Space still connect with the outside world?"
"DING. All items stored by the Host in the Storage Space will be in a state of absolute temporal stasis, unable to connect with the external space in any way!"
The system's response made Chu Feng breathe a sigh of relief. Having finished tidying up, Chu Feng quickly purchased a can of gasoline from the System Shop. He then set a raging fire within the Wild Wolf Gang's hideout before dashing out and deliberately moving away from the downwind direction.
As for Bowman, Chu Feng had discovered his tortured and disfigured corpse while clearing out the gang members outside the hideout. Chu Feng naturally never considered retrieving the body; eliminating all the Wild Wolf Gang members within the hideout was revenge enough.
"System, open the shop."
As the shop interface unfolded before his eyes, Chu Feng's gaze went directly to the weapon that had captivated his full attention the first time he opened the shop page: the AA-12 Automatic Shotgun (Demon Hunter Edition). Unfortunately, due to financial constraints back then, he could only admire it from afar.

(PS: Other types of magazines or drum magazines are available)
Without any hesitation, Chu Feng clicked the purchase option. A shotgun, its surface a mix of intertwined red and black colors, appeared in his Storage Space. The body of the shotgun was engraved with countless Mystic Runes, elevating its aesthetic by at least a whole level. After affectionately caressing it for a while, Chu Feng purchased another ten thirty-two-round drum magazines from the shop. With this addition to the drum that originally came with the shotgun, Chu Feng now had three hundred fifty-two 12-gauge shells (Demon Hunter Edition) in his possession.
Now this is what I call feeling secure!
Very pleased, Chu Feng stored everything in the Storage Space and then took out his phone to call James. About half an hour later, a familiar yellow cab halted beside Chu Feng.
"Hey, Chu! Looks like you've got your reward back!" James greeted him warmly, looking at the towering blaze from the Wild Wolf Gang's hideout in the distance.
"Of course. What's mine must be taken back!" Chu Feng promptly opened the car door and sat inside, signaling James to drive quickly, as they would be in trouble if the wind changed direction.
"Chu, Bowman must be dead, right?" Even though it was a question, James's tone was filled with certainty.
"Mm, when I found him, his body was already cold."
Hearing Chu Feng's answer, James, who had anticipated this outcome, silently made the sign of the cross on his chest.
Another half hour later, the yellow cab finally managed to navigate its way out of Hell's Kitchen under the cover of night. After Chu Feng and James simultaneously put away their handguns, James pulled the car over to the side of the road.
"Chu, where do you want to go?"
"Let's find a secure hotel to settle in first!" After a tiring day, Chu Feng now only wanted to find a hotel where he could take a refreshing shower and then get a comfortable night's sleep.
