Under the dim streetlight, the rookie policewoman in uniform lightly moved her index finger, seemingly about to pull the trigger of her gun.
Just when Police Chief Cohen on the ground had already given up hope for survival, the dark muzzle shifted away.
"What's the matter, need help? Jessica."
"No, Mr. Chu Feng!" Jessica shook her head gently. "I just think he might be useful for something else."
Having said that, she directly reinserted the handgun into her waistband, then flipped the old man on the ground over, ready to take out handcuffs to restrain him.
"What's this?" The strange symbol peeking out from the neck of Police Chief Cohen beneath her caught her attention.
"An inverted pentagram? There seem to be a few characters on it that I can't understand," Jessica said, confused, as she directed her gaze toward Chu Feng nearby.
"An inverted pentagram, another emblem of Satanism besides the upside-down cross, kind of like an ID badge."
