Durin looked at his left hand. After getting out of bed, that hand had remained somewhat disobedient—in other words, it was a bit stiff.

Big Orange helped Durin scan the left hand, confirming it was muscle necrosis with rigidity.

"You're becoming less and less like a human." Big Orange sighed at this point, "It's the first time I've seen the stiff limb of a corpse on someone as lively as you."

Durin shattered it, then used the Recovery Technique to regenerate his left hand, smiling at Big Orange, "Now you should be able to see, right?"

"See what, Durin? I've always wondered, after swapping prosthetics and updating thought processes, I increasingly feel that your sacrifice might not be worth it. Human civilization is so long, has so many tributaries, yet in the years I can observe, through my synthetic eyes, I see only war, death, and misfortune."
