When Jian Xi woke up, it was already midnight.
Nan Mufeng was keeping watch by her bedside, but this wasn't her home, the air was filled with the smell of disinfectant.
"Husband, where is this place?" Jian Xi had just woken up and felt a little bewildered.
"The hospital, you had a fever." Nan Mufeng reached out to touch her forehead, it had already cooled down.
Jian Xi was even more confused: "When did I have a fever? How come I didn't know?"
Nan Mufeng's lips twitched: "You really don't take care of yourself, even when you're sick you don't notice."
"Husband, I want to go home," Jian Xi said softly. The smell of disinfectant in the hospital made her feel very uncomfortable.
"Okay, I'll go ask the doctor. If it's allowed, I'll take you home."
"Mm."

Illness came like a landslide; Jian Xi simply had a fever, without a cold, and wasn't coughing. But after the fever subsided, she began to feel consistently weak.
